OT: Avatars

My lad Henry Owen, age 16 (almost) months... though skunkbelly is actually a nickname for our dog, who is black with a white belly :)
 
I pulled mine off of Avatars.com or something like that. Its a head shot of parasite eve IIRC.

I use to have a tree being put atop a roof on a project I worked on. or my one of the capital building from atop another project I worked on.

Han Solo frozen in carbonite of course... i adjusted the lighting in photoshop... guess i just liked it better shopped a bit than the original.
 
I work on the shuttle's on-board guidance, navigation, and flight control software so a picture of a shuttle launch appeals to me. IIRC, this is a picture of Atlantis.

Wow. That's an interesting job you have there. I know I'd love to end up on NASA's payroll... :rolleyes:
 
Mine is of Tony Leung Chiu Wai, taken from a screenshot from Wong Kar Wai's "In The Mood For Love", an absolutely gorgeous film from my favorite director.

A couple of people around here have asked me about it, so it's nice to see some other film buffs around here as Tony hasn't done much here outside of Hero.

nah, he's a mutt (although I actually have a rotty, and a Husky, so one of those may be my next 'tar). Gibson's got some terrier in there with a couple of other things. They aren't really sure what he is since he was a humane society dog.
 
I don't really know where mine is originally from. Took it from a page with additional portraits for the Baldur's Gate game.

And I'd have never guessed what your avatar was max, but that green scheme is really cool.
 
Mine...not really sure who or what to credit with the picture, but it appears to be a member of the feline Mafia. :D :lol:

I'm not sure I've seen a picture quite like that before. I always assumed it was a civil war general or something. I've seen a homeless guy in my area who reminds me of Whom's 'tar. :)
