Official No-CD patch for D2?

Has Blizzard released a No-CD patch for D2 and/or D2X, the way they have for SC and WC3? Not a hack patch, but a Blizzard patch enabled no CD play. They recently put out Starcraft and Warcraft 3 patches that removed the need for the CDs for those games, so I'm hoping that they have or they will do the same for D2.

It would be pretty nice. Meanwhile though I've created an image of the disc on my hard drive that I mount with Daemon Tools to play without the CD and without "nocd-hacks".

Blizzard has not officially released such a thing, thus they atre still against the TOS/EULA and therefore not allowed to be asked about or linked to here.
