number of Sockets?

When completing the quest in act V that allows you to socket an item, does it always adds 1 socket? Maybe in hell it will add 2 sockets?

Works on non-socketed items like weapon shield boots armour helm.

RARES = 1 max
UNIQUE = 1 max
SET = 1 max
MAgical = 1-2 random.
Non-magical = up to max possible depending on the item level for its class.

Just 1 thing...

Boots can't be socketed. Everything else Burnt said was perfect.

Ah! thank you for the info. I was goign to wait until hell to socket my new Duriel armor but I see now that it is pointless to wait.
