new patch picture analysis thread

I am willing to bet that DC is there purely for difficulty comparison with Lilith. Look at the photos and you will see they are the same characters (with the possibly missing Asn in Tristram) fighting both. While these characters are whipping the hell outta DC they aren't doing diddly squat to Lilith. The only thing stopping me from saying this for certain is the quesion of DC spawning. He appears in place of the first super unique you come to in a game and you cannot get to Tristram without going past Rakanishu, unless Rakanishu was already dead when they spawned DC of course.

I don't think that Dclone can be spawned as Griswald, either. I know for a fact that he cannot be spawned as The Summoner, Izual, and AFAIK, the two Smiths. ("self-type" SU's)

Perhaps that's not the actual world-event diablo clone.

Because you normally have only 1/25th of a second to see this part of the explosion. The most logical choice is Diablogeddon btw. His source: The .mpq files.
but there is no other evidence of a diablogeddon animation in the pictures...isn't diablogeddon a fairly long and involved animation?

well try this thought on for size

so i read a lot of the stuff but not all i hope this isn't repeat information ... however it is possible that one of the mercs or heroes (barb or ama in this case) has a % chance on hit to cast volcano i think that shows up on some runeword weapons .. i can check in a bit that volcano might not be a bad thing but a friendly thing (i mean strike on hit would explain it being under him ) anyways feel free to give me feed back on this

for those who think that's a different tristram or something like that, here's a different possiblity: Maybe Cain's cage was moved to a different spot in Tristram.

hello! just saw something on this picture which i found intresting but i maybe wrong. we should easily see the cage in which decard cain was but i can't see the cage at all  am i blind or it just isn't there?

i have no idea if someone posted this before.

EDIT: just saw the previous picture and the cage definetely isn't therepic

strange isn't it?

can someone head over to tristram and compare the location(and appearance) of the well and buildings to those shown in the screenies...i can't run dialo from this comp.

Definetly Cain is our diablo

Cain is tired and hungry then all heroes ask him to identify all kind of things and he is going crazy. Cain made his own revolution and revealed himself.

I don't remember what one, but there is a weapon that causes volcano on striking. Also for whoever asked, my only Annihulus to date was off a griswald replacement.

just joined this forum to help u guys out to try to figure out wtf is up with the new patch one thing i foudn wierd is there is no succubus type monsters in the act 1 places where it looks to be like they are fighting in the tower

can someone confirm this? i was under the impression that he could be spawned at ANY superunique....i even recall someone who i would consider a reliable source mentioning that they spawned the clone at the summoner....has anyone ever killed rakanishu before "diablo walks the earth" and then went on to spawn him in tristram?

it appears that the buildings do correspond...i did notice one thing that looks out of place....and it may just be because they need to be lightened....but in screeny 1 just south west of the well(and beside the bonfire)...what if anything is there?

This?: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/merick888/Trist2.jpg
It does look weird, I don't know what it is.

Edit- Just realized the screens are in the lower resolution, how did I miss that for so long?

also the weapon that casts volcano on striking is Doom and another one is Destruction which also may explain the fire you guys was wondering about or could have been a pheonix weapon or shield it has to be a weapon from one of the mercs

remember if you click on a body to check it for items, it can catch fire. either that or armegedon burns fopr a short time when it hits the ground?
not the fire to the left of it

yes even lightened i can't tell what it is! possibly just part of the landscape?

lol, this thread is starting to get out of hand. people drawing circles on the screenshots now. if this goes on for another 20 pages i predict completly john madden screenshots with circles and lines all over it.
