Normal Countess dropped Tal & Eth right out of the gate. My sorceress Gertie couldn't have been more pleased (after the fire blood from the death explosion was cleaned off, of course). It's a shame I was only level 10.

I just wanted to say that I've never seen anyone die to the Oculus, and I've watched at least one person rock one well into the 90s. That said, I understand being a little averse to items that add even more excitement to sorceress play.
