I think full trangs looks awesome. Besides that, back when I was using unique bone helm and silks, my guy looked pretty cool. all in blue. I think bone helms look the coolest on necros.
As for shield, holding lidless grim shield looks better than walking around holding a *** shrunken head. they look like a purses.
Oh and the worst is shako's. Unique shako is so good, but it looks sooo ugly.

i think a plain old great helm looks good, my lvl 29 necro is sporting a lore helm and a boneflesh plate mail and looks pretty spiffy, check the avatar.
