My 1st soon-to-be Sorceress - The Blizzantress (Will she work?)

So fate seems to be calling for a Blizzard Sorceress. I would also like her to be very helpful to a party, which Enchant is ideal to cover. I've read some guides, but I have no experience with Sorceresses so any help is welcome. For Hardcore, how about...

20 Blizzard (I've read Tri-Sorc can do Hell so no synergies is ok?)
15 Cold Mastery (~21-22 after +skills)
1 (a cold armor, recommendations?)

5 Static
1 Teleport
0-1 Energy Shield (1pt without maxing Telek. is bad for HC?)

20 Enchant
1-3 Warmth
1 Hydra (for scouting in HC)

Possibilities for Remaining Points (suggestions?) ...
FireBolt & Fire Mastery
FireBall & Fire Mastery
FireWall & Fire Mastery (this seems best for damage over time)
Meteor & Fire Mastery
Lightning & Lightning Mastery
ChainLightning & Lightning Mastery
Static 5+ (enhanced by Lightning Mastery?)
Blizzard synergies

I'm not interested in: Inferno (bugged), Charged Bolt, ThunderStorm, Nova, maxing Warmth, single tree sorceress.

Mercenary: Holy Freeze (I prefer over Defiance. Maybe Might, but I have no minions to protect him)

Future possible ranged weapons I have available for weapon-switch: Witchwild, Widowmaker, PusSpitter (for mid-levels?), Skystrike, Passion Elite Bow (if I find a Lem), various cruel rare throwing weapons.

Future possible shields I have available: 'Um' Lidless Wall, Visceratuant, Whitstan's Guard, Blackoak, Head Hunter's Glory, 3P-Diamond Shield
 
Er...from what I seem to understand of 1.10 sorcs, going unsynergized anything but FO is a dangerous proposition. Blizzard probably won't do enough damage unsynergized to be of any real use. On the other hand, a more or less fully synergized Blizzard sorc rips through Baal runs in parties. If you're building her with party play in mind (aka with people that can deal with cold immunes), I'd say synergize her. Beyond that, can't really help ya.
 
Thanks. I'm guessing then the Tri-Sorceress was made on the Realms using tons of +skills charms & perfect equipment. I also read Blizzard was a strong spell.

So perhaps focus those remaining points (~20?) in Blizzard synergies. I don't want to be trapped into a single tree.

Blizzard does almost 2x the damage of FO when both are un-synergized, but you're right, it isn't worth getting Blizzard unless you get at least one synergy. Perhaps something like this would work:

Max Blizz
Max G- Spike/Ice Blast
Max Fire Mastery
Max Firewall
Pre-reqs and Tele/Static/Warmth

I have a HC ES (max ES/Telekinesis) and I maxed Blizzard and foolishly didn't get any synergies and got Hydra (.....:teeth: )as a back-up skill, not smart. But I'm sure that Firewall will work nicely.

Basically you managed to pick the 2 skills that rely most heavily on synergies/high skill point investment. First thing I'd do is forget about Blizzard in this setup and go with Frozen Orb. Also if you want to take Enchant, you'll have to max Warmth, otherwise the damage isn't worth it.

If you have a bow with 'fires explosive arrows' Warmth/Enchant 20, Fire Masters 1+ will manage cold immunes and you can still Enchant others and your merc.
Frozen Orb 20, Cold Mastery 17 after skills will also kill in Hell and Frozen Orb pretty much owns anything in Normal/Nightmare.

Warmth/Enchant/Frozen Orb 20
Cold Mastery 17-
Static Field/Teleport/Fire Mastery/Hydra/Frozen Armor 1
Prereqs 8
This will put you at level 76 (assuming all quests done).
