Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread ifra

Actually, one thing that would be lovely on GoMule ... as well as the other things I've deman ... suggested .. is to sort the items some way. I'm not sure how to do it best but if I throw the idea out, maybe someone will come up with a suggestion.

You know how you have 84 Isenharts or something? Keep the best 10 or so? I know it's tricked with most items (EG HoZ ED etc etc) but .. anyone else think that'd be useful if you could work out how to do it.

Yes, a filter based on modifiers... that would be really cool. All these bazillions of blue / yellow items you have to inspect looking for something to fill specific holes in your equip...

That would be nice, but until then I suggest the following workaround using both ATMA and GoMule. Here's an example. Suppose you know you are looking for a good Volcanic circlet for your sorc, and would like to have another mod if possible, but you don't feel like looking by hand through your many stashes.

1) Find a Windows machine, use ATMA to create a huge text dump of the relevant stashes to a text file.

2) Search (using grep or control-F) for "Volcanic" in the resulting text dump.

3) Now you can see a bunch of Volcanic items, including circlets. Look at them until you find one you like, say "Volcanic Circlet of the Whale" or something, and note its level requirement.

4) Open GoMule, open the "all" tab, restrict to headgear, and sort by level requirement, then grab the item and celebrate.

This could be improved if GoMule had a "text dump of selected items" feature, of course, but for the meantime it certainly beats looking at items one at a time!

Other nice text dumps that would be nice in GoMule: text dump of items in a stash, text dump of items on a character. And of course searching by mods would be nice, but there are a lot of possible mods and that seems like a ton of work! A good place to start might be with common important prefixes: resists, FCR, +skills, but already that is a ton of possibilities. (Four resists, only 1 for FCR, then for skills there is +1 all, +2 all, +1/+2 for each class, and +1/+2/+3 for each skill tree for each class, to give at least 80 different buttons!) And that is simplifying FCR- really there are lots of possibilities there...

Looks like it's time for the "invisible feature typewriter"

Great idea!

Just kidding :) Keep the ideas coming. Apart from you Thyiad :P

No offence intended Corr; you're like the 15th person this week.

@Silo - you know that Elite, Exceptiona,l, Normal tag? How about one for Class specific items. Just one tag not one for each. Although .....

i'd like to know whether flavie's generated reports works like the dupe detector in ATMA?
i've been relying on the former since i don't know how to use ATMA's. plus, is it as reliable?
thx in advance=)

Is there a way to multi select items in a gomule stash? I love how you can select a bunch of items from the character and dump them all in the stash but I couldn't do the reverse. I wanted to move all my gems back to my character for a cubing session but had to pickup 1 at a time. I tried the standard things, shift ctrl dragging nothing allowed my to select more than 1 item from the stash.

Same as selecting items in a list in explorer or whatever.

Click the top item.
Hold shift.
Click the bottom item.
Release shift.
Click "Pickup"

Is there a bank of ATMA limit? Is it a long int or what? Not that I'll reach the maximum anytime soon but... just curious...

I'd tell you how to test it out yourself, but that would also tell you how to create an infinite amount of gold :)

1073741824 appears to be the max. Which, intriguingly is also the size of a gigabyte in bytes.

Tell me, tell me, I need gold! :wink3:

Ok, thank you!

My unique stash is corrupt or some sort of not good.
The Bad File Size error. It happend before but I didn't mind the loss of the uniques , and now I am curious of I could retrieve these ones.

I took my mercs helm off threw ATMA, put in the buffer space, and switched back to my character menu, from there I transferd said helm into the unique stash, and save/exited ATMA. Loaded it up not long after, error was there.

Whats the outcome of this now ?

Well the other saves (the other 6 backups) have 18-20.
Its just the 1-2-and 3 saves that have that error.
Problem being I dont know how to take the old save and make it the actual save read by ATMA. I deleted the 3 bad ones.

The only D2X file in the folder though says Okb.
The other files are all .ORG, and I have not been able to change any file with my new comp, its VISTA which could end up killing me...

No you didn't. You just have to try harder, maybe use google?

"View > Folder Options > View Tab > uncheck "Hide Extensions for known file types""

Then try to rename it.
