Muling & Reporting: The ATMA/GoMule/Flavie Thread ifra

Running GoMule, I get the following output and wonder what its meaning is.

Code:
Skip: Expansion 0
Skip: Expansion

Btw, are the warning about GoMule and backups before using it still valid, or is it stable enough by now?

Not that they are connected, but recently i have installed flavie, but all my other stashes work just fine. any solutions?

Thanks.

I posted this awhile ago, thought i would bring it up again. I have alot of mf charms that i hope arent lost in this stash. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I just ran into this error last night, and now I can't open one of my stashes. Anyone have a fix?

It's just one stash. All that's in it is about a dozen fat purples. I don't have GoMule installed, really hoping I don't need to run yet another program >_<

It isn't as if I'd be losing something very valuable, but if this would happen to another of my stashes (like my Grail stash or something) I'd be quite upset.

So, it has clearly nothing to do with size. Did you by any chance mule items into that stash from different versions (patches)?

Did your computer get turned off while saving the stash? (electricity outage for example)

Nope, nothing unusual at all, was a pretty regular session for me. I tried renaming the file and that didn't help either.

I only have 1.11b installed so it can't be from another version.

@Sir Lister of Smeg:
Ah the "Skip: Expansion" lines. I need to remove that. It's some test code remaining from the point that I skip (2) lines while reading the txt files. Otherwise expansion items are mapped incorrectly.

Personally, I've not used backups for some time. And I do use GoMule for muling.
(Well, to be more accurate: I did not use backups that I did not expect)

But I am still working on saving at the current version not 100% save to use.
As long as you never put an item in the cursor and you do not use D2 or ATMA while having characters open in GoMule, you will not notice these last bugs though.

These 2 remaining features will be fixed in the next coming release. If I am correct, these are the last features needed for saving.

@Katalaeia:
It means the stash is not valid, something is corrupt.
First of all, make a copy of the stash and the backups, just zipping them in the same dir will do. (just to be sure you don't break anything while testing)

Usually atma creates backups, test these if you can find one that loads correctly. (the ?.org files with the same name) The lowest nr is the latest backup.

If you do NOT find one that works (and is still complete), send me that zip file and I can check for you what is wrong.

Create regular backups manually (like I said, just zipping is enough) can help you here. It really limits damage in such a case.

I did hotmule again using GoMule because Diablo II takes ages to load, and did not encounter any problems, still, I guess that if the game decides to save while the file is also open and modified in GoMule it can cause trouble. I assume however that having the game (and/or Atma) running without characters and/or stashes open that are also open in GoMule, no problems should occur, am I correct?

Also, if I try to run GoMule using the rightclick menu on the jar file (where open with Sun Java 6 is one of the options), I get a lot of errors open in windows that close themselves immediately, to be followed by the GoMule window with missing open, save, and other buttons, as well as no listed characters and stashes. When I open from the terminal I only get the aforementioned skip expansion lines and everything works fine. In the past I had it that I couldn't run any jar files from the right click menu, but now Silospen's run counter works fine using the right click menu, any idea what might be causing one to work that way and the other not?

Tried swtiching your global java alternatives?

sudo update-alternatives --config java

Assuming you're on Ubuntu that is.

Also the difference is that when you right click, nautilus is executing a command which may well be different from the command which you are entering manually.

And the lack of the buttons suggests something wierd going on, that's what happens when java looks in the incorrect files for the images for the various buttons and doesnt find them (hence the lack of settings, ie no chars/statshes).

I have a quick ATMA question. Under the D2S and D2X tabs on the left, I have a bazillion folders with nothing or characters that dont exist anymore under them, how do I get rid of all these?

Click on the folder and press the delete key (on your keyboard)

Hm. Doesn't work for me anymore...wierd.

Ok, go into [Drive]:\[Path to ATMA]\ATMA V\ATMA_CONFIG

There's a file called "ATMA_charview.cfg". Open it with your favourite text editor and you should see things like this:

C:\windows\profiles\silo\Desktop\link to XPOLD\D2BACKUP\save\

BlueSteel

Instant_Kill

IronCruncher
D:\Diablo II\save\

BigBoobsBigBow

Gems

As you can see that's teh folder name, followed by the chars in that folder. Delete anything you don't want to see, or just clear the whole file.

GoMule has been updated in the CVS with the errors so far:

No display for 255, 155, 85
Elemental damage not having max added when combining props
Eth weapons not having damage added
Various prefix/affix display differences in blue items (I think)
Req level now correctly increased if +skill on item modifys it
Throw damage added to throwing weapons

Tell me if there were any that I have missed.

NOTE: This is only in the CVS, so there is not a new version out, I was just making sure I hadn't missed any bugs over the 6 weeks I was away :P

Just what I was looking for, thanks!

hm, my Flavie.jar file isn't reconigzed. It gives me a screen saying words along the line of "Windows doesn't recognize this file, would you like to open it with.... then it gives me a list of unrecommended programs.

This worked. Thanks!!

Any limit yo stash sizes?

Normally I don't pick up unique or set items if I already have 2 or more of them but I recently thought that might not be such a good idea. Those could be good for trades or give aways.

Is there any limit to my stash size in ATMA? I currently have about 900 items in it.
