ATMA flaw, not really a problem, just something I noticed. The required level reported in ATMA and in game are different, it says required lvl 30 in ATMA:

Ocher Glowing Orb
One-Hand Damage: 8 to 21
Durability: 40 of 40
(Sorceress Only)
Required Level: 30
Orb Class - Fast Attack Speed
Item Version: 1.10+ Expansion
Item Level: 85
Fingerprint: 0x2495eae6
+21 to Life
Lightning Resist +20%
+3 to Lightning Mastery (Sorceress Only)
+2 to Frozen Orb (Sorceress Only)
+2 to Lightning (Sorceress Only)

But says required lvl 35 in game:

Just reporting.

GoMule seems to be deleting my Chance Guards. The first few times I thought it was only me messing up, but it happens occasionally when I open it now.

Am I dreaming or is it a known issue?

Regarding GoMule and text dumps:

Personally I would prefer to see one text file per character / stash, i.e. charactername.txt. A button to dump all of the set projects stash and character files into individual text files would be ideal.

I use text files for:
Writing Pat/Mat threads, so in this case a text dump of the character is best
Searching for an item with specific properties. My stashes are arranged by type, eg Jewelery, Unique Shields etc. so I find it useful to be able to open a text file and eg. search for rings with FCR.
If I want to look for a property across all the files, I can do a search for the property via the file browser.

Hope that helps.

Have you explored the project facility in GoMule? You can have multiple projects referring to the same characters and stashes, which can make a good way of organizing things.

For example, you could have a project which is just that character and the stashes that character used, in which case the "all items" view would be useful for a mat/pat thread. You could also simultaneously have that character and the associated stashes as part of another project, say "softcore grail" project, which includes all your SC characters and stashes, which would be useful for figuring out what you have overall.

On the text file or clipboard issue, I would be happy either way! If it goes to the clipboard, then you can just paste it into a text file (or post) and if it goes into a file, you can just copy it from there to the clipboard, so either way would be great.

Just reporting a display bug in GoMule.

Demon Tower
Unraveller Head

It says required level 22 however Fire Golem is a level 30 skill and the ingame display says level 30 required. Not sure if this is a reported bug or not so just letting you know.

I use Chance guards on some of my characters, and I've never lost them.

Can you give me some more details. ( PM or post here )

ATMA appears to have ate my Demon Limb, which really stinks for a self-found player.

The details: I opened up my paladin in ATMA and switched out his bow (Riphook, I wasn't using it at all) and replaced it with my Demon Limb. When I opened the game, all he had on switch was a quiver of arrows. Any idea if I can get that weapon back, or is it gone for good?

Another GoMule nitpick- the word "Assassin" is mispelled as "Assasin" on the title bar for character info. I'll put that on the sourceforge project page. I also noticed inconsistent behavior with displays of various characteristics that depend upon level- if an item is unequipped, it doesn't seem that the "based on character level" amount is always correct. I'll investigate more on that one.

Could you get it back from a backup file? Or would that be considered cheesy/cheating? IMO, this sounds like a problem caused by ATMA (when you left the quiver of arrows in one weapon slot while putting the Demon Limb in the other), not caused by something you did in game, so it should be okay.

If, on the other hand, you accidentally dropped an item on the ground and forgot to pick it up before leaving the game, that would be something you can't use the backups for.

Huh, interesting...I wasn't actually expecting a response on getting it back, but posted anyway to note a potential bug.

Assuming that such a recovery though backups would be legitimate, how would one go about getting it back? Just opening some file in ATMA?

EDIT: Ah, got it. Thanks a million, Luca Rescigno!

Guess I should have just looked at the ATMA help stuff on backups earlier...boy, do I feel like a moron.

If you investigate more, know that a stash has character level 75. (edit: or was it 60, well some fixed level)

Aha, that makes sense! It does seem to be 75 which explains things. I was moving it between characters and neither was level 75, and I wasn't able to figure out that the clipboard is level 75.

Is this a bannable program?

My apologies if this has been asked, but I would like to use ATMA for finding items chances to drop per monster. I don't play SP much but I do Ladder, and wanted to know if anyone has been banned for using this while they are in the game. Or should I just keep it off the system I play Diablo on?

I certainly wouldn't be using it for anything else, and would be afraid to, last thing I want to do is ask the wife to let me by another copy of Diablo2.

Thanks ahead of time.

Personally, I doubt it'd get you banned, since it doesn't affect closed Battle.net at all, and have never heard of anyone getting zapped over it. Keeping it off the machine you use for Diablo II is an option if you wanted to feel really safe about it, though.

See posts 287 and 288 in this thread for more of the same.

A slight problem with this item:

Paleocene Plated Belt of Might
Plated Belt
Defense: 47
Durability: 20 of 24
Required Level: 22
Required Strength: 60
Fingerprint: 0x935807f2
Item Level: 66
Version: Expansion 1.10+
Properties:
+5 to Strength
37 Defense (Based on Char Lvl)

The prefix in GoMule displays as "Paleocene," but in the game it's "Faithful." There is another I noticed as well:

Vodoun Amulet of Life
Amulet
Required Level: 30
Fingerprint: 0xf0e97eda
Item Level: 55
Version: Expansion 1.10+
Properties:
Damage Reduced by 4
+2 to Summoning Skills (Necromancer Only)

This displays as "Vodoun" in GoMule but as "Mojo" in the game.

How near to a non-beta release, is GoMule?
I can't speak on behalf of the developers, but I've been using it and found it robust and dependable. I used it for the MFO and am using it in several tourneys and it's been great. I don't know if they will ever list it as "non-beta" particularly when there are whiners like me who keep asking for more features, but I think it's in excellent shape at the moment.

"Beta" is a relative term anyway. You see some software listed as 1.0 "final release" that has far more bugs than GoMule, which is still supposedly in beta. The way each developer decides what "beta" is varies. Some define it as "no more bug fixes necessary, focus entirely on releasing 2.0," while others seem to define it as "It will launch without crashing... from there, you'd better cross your fingers. We'll patch any bugs the users find later."

My definition of "beta" is "unstable". Therefore I want to ensure it's solid before shoving my items in it.
