Nice, that's Classic d2 at it's best. Some awesome boots you've got there. On topic: I found perf RBF from Travi. It's -5/+5 die lightning as well. Nice. If only I had good enough Gripphon's (those two I have are about the worst roll possible), let alone some nice... JMoD along with three other 5/5 lightning facets. Maybe someday =)
 
Nulio - were those found in classic, or lod? I've been debating loading up a classic 1.06 char, just for the chance to beat the game in all rares.
 
Nice facet there Grape, these days they seem harder to get in account of fewer of us still playing.

I enjoyed 1.06 mostly because of the no casting delay in every spell, making the hydra+blaze sorc very very amusing. I also made an hdin before, but it wasn't as fun. No muling utility is a pain, and I hate needing the modified dll to be able to play at higher settings - which is needed in order to get more goodies to sell. (in 1.07 is avoidable unless you are cowing/rushing)
Gambling, and getting the money, take a lot of time, and those boots were result of several several several several failed ones. Even if the odds for rares are better, the number of total affixes is lower and there are better affixes, chances to get something really nice are very slim. I had to quit the idea of getting what I really really wanted (but I can't complain, the results were awesome - but now I would probably prefer to have used that time in more 1.07, this is the patch for the goodies!)

Belts can also be very nice. Amulets also (but need higher levels or great luck from big D). Getting SoJs is "easier" tho.

Sounds like my kinda thing hahah. You mention no muling though - how do you forward items if you can't mule? Or do you just mean you can't make stashes for <1.07. I reallllllly want to make a classic barb <3.

If muling isn't possible you would need to make mule chars that you transfer to via multi.dll and then open those characters in-game in higher versions if you want to transfer items forward as well.
 
Lol, dredged up my password from the depths of my memory to re-log in here.

Every so often I bust out D2 to goof off and relive good times with my necro summoner and do some MF runs.

Usually it's something like:

Pindle (gather some skellies, mages etc), whatshisface lol, then Meph, then Lost Tunnels and then finishing with the Pit.

Check the finds, sell off whatever and keep rest. Rinse, repeat. I've been doing usually p5 to p7.

I was just about tele past Sparkfist on durance3 but decided to pop the chests around the bunch for the heck of it. In my experience, it can pay off and might as well let my minions and merc blow up the superuniques there. I see a small charm and gather it, Sparkfist is left by himself and my merc finishes and he drops a:

Nice jewel, and cham! If you're playing 1.13 the chance is significantly higher now for cham that it used to be (up to ~40x for zod iirc - it's easy to find a drop chance comparison table via google).

I always found it hilarious the minor mana potion was so rare as well :p
 
Mal from Countess? Tasty.

Don't know if I should just be running LK for runes, but my Sorc is kind of parked in Act I right now, just mindlessly visiting the Tower. I haven't even completed Act I with her.

Do you guys think she should remain a Meteor/Blizzard Sorc or what?
