Most annoying bug?

Not even on the topic of this. But are mummy sarcophaguses even killable on NM/Hell P8 settings? I havent been able to destroy one yet. @.@ Totally left field, I know.

I think Fire Towers (those fire-shooting turrets in Act 2) are even worse. On Hell it seems like they have at least as many HP as Izual, maybe even more. Plus, unlike sarcophagi there is no way to block them from shooting fireballs AFAIK.

When you go through into the outer cloister. The door always gets stuck when you press open, and basically you have to walk through the door.

I vote for the Assassin Cloak of Shadows bug. Such a useful skill, but the game has a chance of crashing whenever you cast it. I'm not sure but I think it only happens when there are "stationary" monsters (mummy sarcophaguses/foul crow nests) on screen when you cast it.

I would agree with this one. I hadn't worked out any pattern but if what you say is true this will help. It did notice it crashes a lot in act 2 so that could be correct.

Another thing that is annoying is sometimes in the tower and the 2 sub levels near blood raven you can get stuck in the floor. All you can do then is TP and hope you can click on it. Coming back through the same TP is fine.

I haven't seen that at the outer cloister but I have seen it with the doors to the stairs in the jail.

the FE bug make me mad quite a few times, mostly against contess. I never seen what the hell ancients cant do, i never went that far. Actually i'm running a sept, so better get some juice in theh chars. Anyoe have a trick (instead of mods) that lower or stop the FE damage?

Yea. I never figured that glitch out. Always happened in Act V for me though, usually in the ice cavern area thing. Gets annoying cause Im screaming at my computer for my merc to protect me and hes like.. there already, I just cant see it.

there are several, where I just curse the ineptitude of the programmers and testers. One is where monsters walk through closed doors. I usually 'tut' when the doors (mentioned in a previous post) don't open, or when the act 4 seal (usually for DeSeis) won't activate until at least the 5th click.

The mercs usually come in for some grief as well, especially when they are being totally dense. Example yesterday - act 5 open area. The merc was standing behind a small bush and didn't realise I was getting pounded on by about 6 monsters, on the other side of the bush. Same problem when he's around the corner (like 2 yards away) and doesn't realise what's happening. What a dork !!

Invisible merc is just weird - monsters taking damage, all the animations, but just no merc. There also appears to be a bug where the merc doesn't react to potions. On ocassion, I've wasted too many potions (even full rejuvs) where nothing happened. The merc's health didn't move at all. That can be potentially dangerous, eg ancients and you can't heal the merc.

The thing that annoys me the most is Blizzard's inability (or unwillingness) to fix exploits such as tppk and duping/server crashing. If they never fixed another bug, but closed the exploit holes, I'd be more than happy.

Charge and all it's associated buggy goodness

Particularly annoying is the one where you freeze up mid charge if you switch to a different skill before hitting the target:tongue:
Yep. :| Charge is probably the most annoyingly buggy skill in the game currently, considering how important skill it is. From experience I can tell that there's at least 3 or 4 different ways for charge to break, although one of those happens only in MP games, where there is lag involved. I don't want to bother specifying the different ways that charge can break, as I'm not 100% sure how 1-2 of those breaks do happen.

At least in PvP, Charge is the most important skill that Paladins have. It's just not fair; there isn't even one way for Teleport to break. Bah @ all you Sorceresses! Imagine if your precious Teleport could break, and not only by one way, but 3-4 different ways. :sad2:

Another major bug is the Assassin's "Chaos' o-skill Whirlwind + level up bug". Specifically, if a level up happens during Whirlwind animation, the Assassin goes into "ghost" mode, where she can't be killed at all, but neither can she interact with anything in the game until after a Save&Exit, which after it's fixed. (edit: imagine if you're playing in SP with a whirl-sin, and during a Whirlwind animation you notice a *insert a very high end item* dropping, but after you've prepared to pick it up after the Whirl animation ends, you end up leveling and get stuck in the "ghost" mode instead, not being able to pick the item up. that would suck.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the FE bug eliminated in 1.11b? I've never been killed by the FE explosion, and the Ancients I rolled for my Tesladin involved two FEs.

merc going invisible lol.

I second, or third this one. I've noticed that when my mercenary goes invisble eventually I get him/her back. However after that point the monsters will ignore the mercenary and only target myself. A Save&Exit solves the problem, but when you are doing single pass this is an issue.

However I've also had the monsters ignore my mercenary even when he/she doesn't go invisible first. This is espeically dangerous when engaging the Prime Evils. For example taking on Mephisto with a low vitality HC tourny character, he ignores the merc poking him and takes one step to the side to loose a ice ball at me --> dead character.

I've noticed some of what is mentioned are actually "features" not bugs

As far as I know the bug was fixed for Hell difficulty, but was left alone in NM. So you can still get stupid HP loss from FE bosses in Nightmare. But you're right, he does sound like he was talking about Hell, where there shouldn't be a problem. Well, if there is it won't be a bug anyway.

Any bug involving skills, including the afformentioned Charge, Cloak of Shadows, Leap, Zon skills, as well as Inferno (and Assassin's "Wake of"), Arctic Blast, and any others I might have missed.

Bugs from monsters can be dealt with (albeit dangerously), such as Gloams, FE, and mana burn, but bugged character skills hamper gaming possibilities. Granted, some of these can be worked around, but it is a shame that some bugs can turn a person off from fully experiencing a certain class' potentials.

the bug involving skill charges no longer acting as synergies

That's not a bug, it's a correction to a bug. Why should an item with charges give a synergy bonus if '+x to skills' doesn't?

Edited 60 seconds later: Nevermind you already know that, silly. =\

FE bug was never fixed, it's just that all forms of FE damage in Hell got massively nerfed. Prior to 1.11, FE/LE bolts from Baal's minions were capable of one-shotting my hammerdin and FE explosions from Lister were unsurvivable. With the nerfed damage now, I can comfortably tank an FE explosion from Lister on p8 even while amped.

Hahahahaha  hilarious

For me it would be te entire LCS :azn:

Or that when I put points into ice bolt, my frozen orb gets stronger! (pointer towards VCrow :flowers: )

No, he was talking about how items with charges like Marrowalks Bone Prison charges used to give a synergy to skills in 1.10, like Bone Armor in this case. He wasn't being serious though... I didn't look who wrote it before I posted.

I'll agree with "the character screen." Does it even display your own attack rating correctly yet? I think that got fixed at some point but I'm not sure.
