minimum arrows per strafe volley

how many arrows can be fired at a single target ? i think it is 7 at slvl 20.

but is there an option that number can be increased ? and where is the limit in minimum arrows fired ?

cheers,

there is only one limit. You will fire a set number of arrows at a single target depending on the skill level, unless you kill the monster first. As far as I know, it keeps on going up with 1 every 4 points, and probably capped at 20 although you will never get to a slvl that high that it would matter.
Just check out the summit for the exact formula.

Can I be curious, why are you so interested in the exact number of arrow shot at high levels.

qoute from arreat summit:

There is a rather hidden "Minimum shots" effect in Strafe. What this means is that Strafe will fire at least this many shots at one monster, but will fire more up until the Strafe limit if there is more than one monster. This is very useful in making multiple hits vs. one single monster, but the downside is that it puts you in Strafe lock more often.

The formula is as follows: Min Arrows fired = 2 + slvl / 4 rounded down.
Which means, at level 4, 3 shots are fired; at level 20, 2 + 20/4 or at least 7 arrows are shot.

Re: minimum arrows per strafe volley

i found out that limit at minimum number of arrows is capped at 10 arrows, as it is the maximum number cap. at skill level 32 strafe, minimum number of 10 arrows is being shot if there is less than 10 monsters on the screen. if someone knows something else that is usefull for this thread, feel free to input.. i tried casting a decoy and had a valk but this number still didn't change at 2fpa. if only i could slow this down so i can see better...

edit : i tested this against baal, and now i am 100% sure. maximum minimum number of strafe volley is 10 arrows ! i fired one volley, paused the game and counted the arrows many times. all you strafers out there, get your strafe to lvl 32, best used strafe level.

peace,
