All of the UT information is server side I believe. So using plug Y would generate "uber" versions of diablo/baal/meph using the keys and such but none of their minions spawn and they don't act the same. However it does give the torch at the end which is why its not allowed, its a pretty poor representation of the real deal.
I don't know of any other affects of the plug Y, only the things we hear about most commonly which is access to ubers on SP.

What do you mean? Is there some gamble mechanism I'm not aware of? I've only gambled a few amus
I realized it's true only for lower levels, sorry. What I meant is that with enough gold, you can easily gear up with some powerful items (you can upgrade normals to uniques after a few Andy runs, you can use mystics orbs to get big %ED etc.)
I'm only lvl 30, so I don't really know how are things later in the game xP
About Plugy, it doesn't work with 1.13d. Anyone knows an easy way to downgrade to 1.13c?
Pretty sure it gives plenty of other options like infinite in-game stash, infinite cow king kills, and a bunch of other stuff like showing ilvls and other (handy) things like your stats screen showing MF and Life steal and stuff.

A few months ago I had DL'ed MXL and played an assassin upto lvl 14 or so. It was decent but it wasn't really a build, and I wasn't following any guide.
Played around four hours ( till inner cloister waypoint ), some thoughts.
I put one point into each skill until level 18, just to check it out. Initially I was going for wyrmshot bowazon, but somewhere along the line I found that spear skills were far more effective. Specifically: hyena strike. This thing does 100s and 1000s of dmg where everything else is doing 20-30 dmg AND it spits out healing orbs. So what it's single target, it's the most effective leveling skill ever. Pounce is great too. I wasn't too happy about Great hunt, but it does okay against weak mobs. Most 'guides' in MXL seem to be written for experienced guys. You know, wyrmshot is lvl 24 skill. What am I supposed to do till then? zzz.
Anyway I am now stuck with spear skills because I already used Akara's respec and the respec oil will cost 4500 gold. Once i have a bit more gold I will try out wyrmshot.
Speaking of which.. Gold. It's a serious pain in the a**. Only a few things drop high amounts of gold, most monsters drop none at all. You can't even sell junk rings/ammys because they all sell for so little unlike in D2. It was an immense pain during lvl 1-15 just identifying things because I never had gold to buy identify scrolls. Finally in the underground passage I found some elites that dropped about 2000 gold each and then a signet of 2500 gold which helped a lot. However merc resurrections took a lot of that away again.
I am thinking of crafting the unique amazon spear recommended for this build ( Terra Indiges maiden pike ). I have 5 uniques found from which to salvage the crystal-

Out of these I don't know whether I want to sacrifice my cap and amulet, they seem pretty good to me. The rest of my items are all rares, I just stacked items with MF and goldfind and sold everything else. I also need the base item ( maiden pike ) and 9000x5 = 45000 gold for the oils ( a little too rich for me at this point.. ). If only the Terra Indiges would drop, or that ravenbreak had not been ethereal...
Lack of atma/gomule is really killing me. I will need to clear out my stash and keep only a few of the highest runes and gems.
Overall nice mod. However I still don't understand more than 20% of what's happening in the game. It's so flashy and sparkly and so many types of new monsters compared to D2. I don't know what my rogue merc is doing- some type of combination strafe and multishot which is packing some serious hurt even though all I gave her was a crapy blue bow. Only one death though- to the countess 1-hit kill attack ( before I understood how to dodge it ). Good thing I had put a town portal..
Edit: Okay, I've just finished act 1 as well and now level 30. Spear skills are flat out not cutting it any more so I'll go bowazon. I also found 2 more uniques - the unique double axe and long sword. So I won't have to sacrifice my cap and ammy if I want a unique bow. Merc died again. Screw you merc. Not spending any more money on you. Andariel was pretty easy with a hit and run poison spell. Just dodged her powerful firestorm and poison clouds and it was fine.
Right now I'm looking at the insane task of getting 4500 gold for respec and then 9000x5 for the five catalysts to make my unique bow.. And I still need to find the base as well I suppose. I will do some underground passage runs. Anyone have any other suggestions for getting gold?

Wyrmshot wasn't really all that good at lower levels, I used barrage until monsters started hitting a bit too hard. But after you put a few points in (and to synergy) it gets some more radius and targets you'll never switch back.

I know, I know.. Those cave snappers are precious little things, aren't they? Just make a couple underground passage runs and you should have loads. There are some just outside the gate in A2 too, they might drop more.

Don't sacrifice them, once you get to Andy she'll drop one guaranteed unique per run. By oil you mean catalyst? If so, you only need one, they don't get destroyed. I usually gamble my low lvl runeword/unique bases. Easy enough if you don't feel like grinding for it.

Enjoy it while it lasts. I remember when I first saw Porkchops. "Oh god, giants!", I got scared Then they turned me into a hog!

I thought that was antother ring. Now I MOd it unusable. Ah well, glad it wasn't particularly good ring. MO = mystic orb, orbs with various effects (str, dex, ed etc. sold by vendors). Give bonuses but also increase lvl req.

Just killed Quov Tsin, took me almost an hour. It was pretty intense, I enjoyed it.
Runes, eths/iths for damage, resist gems if you need those. Or craft some jewels, I like Lem crafts (3-5 to all stats). Though they require 150 crafting points, which might be annoying to get. :/ It's not a rare affix, just pick up rare armor you find and hopefully you get enough soon.
I think they are all good, although I only really have experience with light, poison and a bit of fire. I did my untwinked sorc with light/poison. The +spell damage from poison passive is pretty good, and miasma is nice for a bit of crowd control.

Bow Ama's skills (Barrage, Wyrmshot, Ghost Arrow) work with fcr or ias? Do they leech? Do energy factor to spell dmg and +spell dmg work with them? Thanks xD
In Median XL, direct damage spells gain a damage bonus from energy. This bonus has diminishing returns: the damage gained per additional point of energy is lower if you already have lots of energy to begin with.
The energy factor bonus on some caster items modifies this curve, causing each point into energy to provide a significant benefit until much higher levels of energy. Energy factor is particularly effective for high level characters with most or all points into energy.
