nice jewelers armor

This is so much sexier because dusks can't be shopped. I would try to find some awesome legit jewels to put in here; if you're just going to use 15/100s you might as well use a standard AP of the whale.

I would try to find some awesome legit jewels to put in here; if you're just going to use 15/100s you might as well use a standard AP of the whale.

Why? I had +286 ar in it, and it looked ugly. 300 is much nicer.

Archon Plates suck. Too much strength required for my build.

Much nicer and many exist as the ingredients were around.
If your on realms, Roll with it.
At the time most of them were made it was the best armor option you had, on the other hand, a few Jewels in the right place now makes it SWEET.
Jewels fix your mistakes on the way if you are not a buy pre-leveled type bastard.

Blues are mostly a step on the way, not always the best of the best except in... well; I can't say "rare cases" can I?
Because they drop so often and can be easily found, shopped,
and socketed etc.

i just rolled this tower shield and i'm so giddy, the odds of rolling a perfect dream are around 1 out of 175,000, mine is 5 stats off from perfect, still an stupidly high roll

For making 160/60 armors, or some lvl 49 use Dusk w/life for facets.

I use it for my melee sorc.

i filled it with 3 ias jewels and cham

the 3 jewels help me hit the last zeal breakpoint
cham allows me to use SOJ instead of raven frost

the jewels allow me to fix my weaknesses either resists vs elemental characters, or ar vs everyone else

So with one slot, i get 100 life, zeal breakpoint, cannot be frozen, and resists/ar

any other way to get all those stats, i will have to use up, 2-4 item slots
twitch (cham) + 20ias/15str/15dex/40mana/resist gloves
or
guardian angel (15ias/15res jewel) + raven frost + IK boots + IK gloves
or
treachery + raven frost

when it's all said and done, the jewelers armor set up offers the best life/mana/ar/damage ratio (i know this since i have a spread sheet with all these set ups)

some FoH'ers soup themselves up with 20/-20/100 life armours (4 x lit facets in armour along with a faceted Griffons and probably a FoH stick and maybe even a 20/-20 shield).

they work by SHREDDING your res.

personally, i'd go a Gris build for style points if i was goimg down that route.

@Borje: pretty sure that's 1.07, Larzuk will give up to 4 sockets in blue items iirc

You can also find other crazy gear, check this out from the SPF
