low lvl item fund

well see i used to play on east up untill new patch came out.. at first it was realy annyoing so i just gave up and picked up war3.. the other day i got realy realy board so i poped the cd back in and sure enough i was addicted yet again o.O! my only problem is i have a lvl 36 sorc that hasl lvl 5 gear >< if sorcs relied on their gear to attack i would be dying so fast... anyways anything that can helpout my sorc would be nice from charms to full low lvl sets.. anything is very apprecheated.. thankyou ^.^

betaone: well, im just assuming ladder will reset soon. its been going for 4 or 5 months. they never did say how often it would be reset.

you forgot to leave your acc/realm. you did say you use to play on east. i can only assume u do now.

EDIT: about my last post. i guess i was wrong, apparently you don't have to beat softcore to do hard core chars.

This is a great idea. But where's the exact list of ppl to contact on what realm if I want to donate?

Also, can you give me an example of items that are on the mules?

Hmm ya, how do I get into the charity part of this sucker? Reinstalling d2 tomaro, US_East, account name planned to be Celeras. Could use a few goodies to get me started. Don't want anything too good.. just 1 or 2 things to get me through act 1. I don't usally play twinked... but i think starting over after months of not playing qualifys me to a little leanency^^ :lol:

the original post also mentions a few times that the items there is completely up to the donator. soepgroente's example was his 15th suicide branch. basically its items that are too good to see thrown away, but not good enough to trade/use on already made characters; items that are taking space on mf chars that you really have no place for. a lot of ppl after a handful of mf runs, just drop this stuff in random games.

add soepgroente to the list, he is europe and his account is listed above. im on east: *mathil , *thesaint . melainor is europe. that is all i know.

[ck]extreme: don't worry about it, there are a lot of ppl that need the help. that is what this is here for. if the account survives long enough, the ppl that are getting the help now can return the favor and donate later on.

i've been adding anyone who left their account here to the friends list of the appropriate account on the appropriate realm.

Its nice to see a nice community like this. Since I and my friend filled up our mule accounts, we had been giving up sets/uniques around, things like Bartuc, Jade, Titan, Jalal etc has been in our donating list.

It will be good to join in to this party, but for a night of MF I think I will fill the char up very quickly. May be a constant game where people can go in just dump things on floor? :p
 
If any of you guys have been on these forums long enough to remember; back in 1.09, Glace and I (using Garbad_the_weak's name) had this "Newbie Scholarship Fund" in the Newcomers' Forum. It's basically what you guys are doing right now, except it was mainly just on Uswest SC NL. What you guys are doing is really great IMO. I don't play d2 as much anymore, so not many people are helped by me as before. But I know the feeling of knowing that you have just helped a new player start the game and you're helping them enjoy the game even more. The feeling's just great.

Anyways, the method that Glace and I used was that only the two of us (or however many trustworthy people you guys have) knew the password, and we'd just let people message us online. Then we'd just get the accounts and show the items in a game. It's a lot safer that way, because only trustworthy people will get the passwords. Even though it's just items like Sigon's Belt, people do tend to become greedy. And it's kind of a hassle now to burn in new mules for 2 hours.

well, when can I start donating? already have some low lvl set items and should begin mfing tomorrow evening if all goes as planned...

I've got eight mule (yes 8) that are filling to the bring with low lvl uind uniques...usually use them for gem trading fodder.

Some Itmes include steelclash, duskdeep, sigons stuff, jade tan do, etc, etc.

I'm sure that I can afford to donate some of these to help the cause.

Mule handlers ONLY please whisper me *stormcryer on useast (Ladder) and I'll dropp some of this stuff on your mules.

Great Idea, i've been thinking it myself but i never thought it would fly with royal colors like this.

It's been a while since i've been nice, i hope that starting this we can all start being nice and not corrupt and be so wary whether an item is duped (and believe me there are still duped items in 1.10). Finnally back to the days when people gave items that were supposed to be given to certain people (hence not people who just drop free items or people who just **don't** give items at all). as in the words of Deckard Cain: "Thank the arch-angel Tyrael" (i wonder if he ever actually said that...)

Names Roux, i'll donate. I got a good 8 mules going (in fact i have a full mule of low level items but i'll donate after i finish getting all my chars above level 15)

another post script: not to kinda be a hypocrite to what i just said but... i actually do need one item for my sorc (almost done with it) just need the cathans death mask and then i'll donate some cathans (including the mask) back to you guys when i'm level 20 (so about 4 levels to go)
 
so, who do we donate too? I've been online all day, waiting to see someone to donate too, I saw no one... melianor is added to the contact list, and I don't know who else, but nothing I did seemed to get me closer to donating stuff... (btw, I already have some fun stuff!)
