Re: Legit Item?
there is no way to get a double socked magic shield via a cube recipe - the only way is via the lazaeuirik or w/e spelling quest via act5 exploit.
my thoughts, not an endorsement, just an explanation. there are many questionable rares that have been socked over the past 8 months. one can surmise that most/many are act5 socks as well. if you sleep better at night having gotten those items for cheap, but still call yourself legit but look down at someone that acquires magic/set items that have been socked then good for you. I won't call you a hypocrite for thinking like this, but you may want to take a long, strong look at yourself and head over to
www.m-w.com and look up the term's definition. *shrug*
I don't lose any sleep at night over a game, or over what people think of me for how I play the game.
I don't personally use the various hacks. You can argue that I support the market for it in the past as there are times when I have employed the use of obvious act 5 gear due to a limitation on the availability of more desireable rares (which I can afford) and/or superior mods that result. (such as 30/20 blocking and 58 rez)
I enjoy the pvm game, and/or helping people out via being the cs slut on my din, or via rushing - it's just the catharsis I get out of the game.
I still honestly wish that blizzard would sanction act 5 and level the playing field between the "haves" and "have nots" by making socket quests, and insane xp available for one and all. it's been proven that classic characters survive, and thrive in act5 without the use of overpowered runes, exceptional/elite items and such. I should note that this wish isn't crying over being 'poor' - I've never had a real problem acquiring mass wealth on ladder in very short order, and it isn't/hasn't been from act5 haxoring and selling illegitimate items.
