Hay. My necro's now at act 5 so im cool for lvling. Im a little bit concerned/ confused after joining a game called kta today. The two high lvl's in the game were going on about botting etc and that was one of the reason's I got away from west and wanted to play with kta members. So a quick question. When your not playing as a kta group, do you guys considering 3rd party play and twink play with 3rd party players normal? I only ask because I would rather not be playing with people like that. 3rd party play ruins the game in no time unless your a player vs player.
Hope this doesnt offend anyone its just when I want to play with a group of legit players I like to stay untainted. I find any help from people who use 3rd party hacks a breach on the taint scale.

I assume by "3rd party play" you mean employing hacks and bots. I'm positive none of the KTA group do that themselves.
However we often use the KTA game name when two or more of us team up to quest or run MF-bosses, and friends from outside KTA will join those games (not on the specific KTA group sessions).
Personally, I'll sometimes just save/exit when I notice someone is using maphack and using it to lead everyone their way, but other times, especially when the person is introduced by a friend and is otherwise a nice player, I'll play along.
Let me stress however, that this is not at all common in the KTA games, and I would be just as irritated as you were by that conversation you overheard.
Playing with people who wield infinity, enigma etc is normal for me, although I don't know many such people atm.
I'm actually planning/hoping to use a grief on my next char, and that Lo rune I'll try to trade for will obviously be a dupe.

as you probably already guessed I did not manage to acquire a new monitor in time. Was really weird not being able to do anything with the computer last night :badteeth:

This might be an idiotic suggestion and all, but err, since KTA originated from GAT and we still have a KTA-forum part in our GAT-forums, why don't some of you join up? Perhaps you'll find someone in there you like. Unlikely, at the least, but we can use the influx of people ^_^. We currently have a KTA-WoW going.

KTA was abandoned yesterday due to lack of numbers. It did not feel safe enough to progress with only 4 of us. We decided to wait it out until we have a full complement again.
Baranor, yes I've signed up. Mainly in the hope of finding more Hellgate players and if we can get some new KTA recruits for the next session.

That means the the numbers are swelling and we could have a guaranteed full run for the next one with maybe a few floaters for when there is absence...i'm not banking on 2 seperate groups running at once as people tend to drift off...even I might drift off one day in the future when the missus threatens me with her vs. d2... :shocked:

That's OK, I won't be on til 11pm+ as we are rolling up new DnD characters tonight...should be a laugh! I'll get a few levels in before you get on...i'm only 22 on the Strafer...want to be able to use Witchy by the end of tonight!
