Diablo has been defeated. Up to the river of flame everything went smoothly. Then in the river nothing would attack my merc. Even if he engaged it first they just ignored him and came straight to me. I don't really have anyway to explain this so I wonder if anyone knows why it would be. Diablo killed my merc about 4 times even with max lighting and fire resist. Didn't drop anything interesting.

Khan was level 31 at the frigid highlands WP so I turned up to /p 8 and did quite a few eldritch runs until I got level 33. Just keep buying greater mana potions with spamming fire golem to kill them all. Found and rescued the barbarians easily and finally got a Tal and so I made "Ancients Pledge" Kite Shield which was much better than before(kite shield all resist +24). I have maxed all resists except cold is at 53. On my way to the Arreat Plateau, the end monster that always spawns right at the end of the Frigid Highlands dropped a rare Great Sword with 82%ed/+1 min/116 AR/1-21 Lightning/7 posion. With that sword I changed my merc to an Act V barbarian and put the helm/armor on him with the new sword. What hurts is I just socketed my very nice rare scale mail earlier and am waiting to turn my flawless amethyst into a perfect to upgrade it. To upgrade the sword I still need a Amn rune and my flawless sapphire into a perfect. In the Frozen River rescuing anya a boss from a urn i touched dropped Iceblink, an item I havent found for a while... heres another item I wished I still had the chance to socket :grin: . After rescuing anya and getting to level 34, her rare class-specify reward was +3 to golem mastery and I couldnt use it because it was the wrong kind, ancients pledge sure to give me some resists tho . I still have my imbue and am waiting for a normal gothic plate to appear so my +6 life can get sold. Fire golem - 4, Golem Mastery - 18, Clay golem - 10.

Next up is Nihlithak, but first I might try the same thing I did on eldritch and put it on /p 8. I know that pindle gives madness experience and they are slow in a nice group for me to blow up :thumbsup: If this is a sucess I will run him for a while and then continue on.

Khan is now a destroyer and the 10th destroyer of the tourny!

That pindleskin idea payed off and I ran him on /p 8 until I reached level 40. So that was 6 levels just from pindleskin which dropped nothing useful, I started down to kill Nihlithak. This was all on /p 1 so once I found her she was disposed of easily. The ancients were fought on /p 4 and I'm glad it wasn't /p 8. I was stupid enough to let my merc die a little over 75% complete of the battle and I didn't know if my fire golem could do the job. But he did, and it took quite a while... used every mana pot and after a while they would hurt him a little bit and my regenerating mana would caster another one. Gained a level there and now it was time for baal. /p 1 now for sure, dont have much firepower but lots of defense. All of baals minions were easy but lister and company made it much tougher on us by far than the others. Baal wasn't too bad, sure did cast the golem on him over and over way too many times but it had to be done. Merc never died until the end of the fight and I just let the golem finish him off, he did all the damage pretty much anyway. Dropped all crappy rares of no use. I ran out of mana later during the fight so I sold a few flawless gems to keep me going.

Amithae has reached act 2, after a lengthy battle with Andariel on P8. I certainly won't be trying that against Duriel! I did get a nice item for my hard work, though. (I know, I chopped one of the numbers off by accident. It's 24.)

Gambled myself a beautiful +11% res all circlet and a slightly less impressive Glaive before taking on the Demon Queen. Glaives suck, they're so slow! Good job I won't be doing too much melee, I guess. The lack of a belt is irritating me...I'm having to keep lots of spare potions in my backpack and it doesn't leave much room for treasure...could be worse though. I also have a nice few charms which are helping a good deal with my low life.

Khan has died a very very ridiculous death.

I started out in NM on /p 1 and I cleared the den/blood raven/cain/countess/smith very easily and once I made it down to catacombs level 4, everything was dead except andariel. Over half way dead, andariel and my fire golem were fightning in the big room just a little past the big door. I ran out of healing pots and stood back out of the way with my posioned life down to below 50. Kept spamming fire golem on her for some decent damage, she would face my way every once in a while when i recasted golem towards my side. Kept doing her posion attack spray, and golem wasn't in the way enough and it was coming towards me, I just didn't move out of the way in time. A really stupid death, and could of easily beat her but played very foolishly I guess and you learn from your mistakes. Fire golem was level 12 with over 3300 life... was very strong.

status so far

well I've been taking it slow and steady, stuck with my measly starter club until around act IV when I can finally get a hammer I've been running countess some trying to build up some runes to make a helm or something, anything to help me out. In fact, my rogue does most of the damage and I'm the meat shield. It feels weird to be saying that. Anyways if someone could add me to the table here's my stats.
