Kool69's "Straight and Narrow" Tournament

Well at first I thought, "awesome a leap attack barbarian." Then I realised I have to get to act 3 for my first weapon and will play act 1 almost entirely naked. Not metion I have to fuel a 9 mana attack somehow.

But so far things have gone alright just slow, I had my first close call in the forbidden tower against a dual boss archer pack spawn. Thank god for leap!

Are you sure you don't want a stave class weapon? Since it's not the sorc class weapon. I'll edit in a bit after I've rolled up your character for you. Glad to have you join!

I'll grab my second chance. A pity tho, the character would have been fun to use with Dragon Tail. Can I still use a martial art assassin?

Aye yes you can, same request as last time? Or do you want to mix it up some?
 
Same thing should be fine. The one thing that stalls a martial assassin is either lack of strong claws or strong boots. That's the only reason I was unable to go on without entering the danger zone everytime. No boots and basic katar, lol

Shadow Discipline(3) and Martial Arts (2). Hopefully I'll get a charge up and a finisher....and some half decent equipement :azn:

A tad better. Not sure about the fist of fire without synergy but meh. Reroll the energy and if I get energy again, I got the worst luck in the world.

Straightskunk began her lonely but stylish fight against evil, smacking down the denizens of the Den and skewering Blood Raven and her pasty minions. A good amount of her equipment will need to wait until act 2 (can you gamble chain mail or light gauntlets in act 1 at all?), but for now she's doing perfectly fine. She has a good spear (three-socketed, with a jewel of envy and two chipped topazes), and a rare amulet and sash (no interesting mods of course, but at least they're pretty), ugly heavy boots and a couple of junky rings. But with level 3 Power Strike, the baddies are dropping with no troubles at all.

HolyMoley the Paladin begins his mission: to walk the lands of Sanctuary and crush the minions of Diablo beneath his booted heel.

Of couse, he had to wait to level 11 or so before his heel had boots....

This was a bit hard until I dialed down to P1 and killed BloodRaven and got my merc. I went back to P8 and careful play gopt me to clvls 11 and 12, where I got a helm, chain boots and chain gloves plus my first point in a usable skill - Zeal. I've reached the Outer Cloister but realize that I'll have no body arrmor until about clvl 32 or so. The hardest part is to play with my starter Short Sword with its damage of 2-7 (not to mention my Starter Buckler).

Anyway, I'm looking forward to clvl18, when I can add an aura - Concentration. The +60% enhanced damage will ...uh...add about 1 point to the max damage of my short sword. :undecided: :embarassed:

No they are included in the class role since they are the only class specific items for paladins.

Butzull, you got a roll somewhat like mine - but I see two problems:

- Gothic Plate ( which I am also stuck with) means no body armor until about Act5
- A Flail? :rolleyes: A Chargeadin or Avenger with a Flail? :laughing:
 
Hehe, yeah, I'm not too unhappy with it really, could have been much, much worse. Vengeance is quite nice in general, and I get some quite good defence with HF and HS. Strength as well...which will be necessary for the armour assuming I get there. I'll take it happily. ;)

Bah, Aries just isn't cutting it for me, I forgot how much I disliked magezons.. Oh well, I think I will just retire her and pull out my "Second Chance" character as Master did a little while earlier.

Would anyone mind rolling a Druid 3-2 Summoning (3) Elemental (2) for me? (I'm in the mood to try something new.) I explained how the mechanics of it work a few pages back. Please and thank you. ;)

I use http://www.random.org/nform.html as my random number generator.

I use the lists of items on this site and label the items from 1 - x (x being the last item on the list.)

Example:

Leather Gloves - 1
Heavy Gloves - 2
Chain Gloves - 3
Light Gauntlets - 4
Gauntlets - 5

I roll a 4, and that person now gets Light Gauntlets and its Exceptional and Elite versions.

For Class items I do the same except for the Amazon. If they use bows I roll between the two bows. For Spears I roll between the two spears. If they use javalins they just get the only javalin there.

For Skills I also take the list from this site and number the skills in order going across from top left to bottom right. For example:

Skeleton Mastery - 1
Summon Skeleton - 2
Clay Golem - 3
Golem Mastery - 4
Skeletal Mage - 5
Blood Golem - 6
Summon Resist - 7
Iron Golem - 8
Fire Golem - 9
Revive - 10

Then I just roll and tell the person what skills they recieved.

As for stats its just. Str - 1, Dex - 2, Vit - 3, Eng - 4

Edit: Make that...all done except for the weapon.

I want an assasin 3 traps/2 shadow, claws as weapons
If I understand correctly, I should get two claw choices, right?
