Heres how the non botters do it:
Get 7 of you diablo friends and start playing as soon as the ladder season starts, have 3-4 of them be paladins, 1 barbarian, 1 druid, 2-3 sorceresses(different elements), maybe one necromancer. Make a private game, party up and team rush yourself until you get to hell act 5. Start running baal in private games, and share the items you find with your friends depending on who it suits. If you have your other friends doing the same you should have no problem with finding items. Do approx. 100 baal runs per day and your name should start climbing the ladder.
It really isnt THAT hard unless your determined and have a passion.
