Conner’s Complete Rules
DISREGARD EVERYTHING YOU’VE READ BEFORE, THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL RULES – VARIES SOMEWHAT FROM PREVIOUS COMPETITION
1) Private game, as many as we can get to join up. All characters are created with names of MY choosing. You will be assigned a name in the channel.
2) You MAY PLAY ANY character class
3) Four (4) Random waypoints will be given to everyone at the beginning of the game. Everyone will receive the same waypoints.
4) All players will unlock their bodies at the start of the game.
5) No restrictions on levels. When the last person hits level 9, End Game rules begin!
a) At level 9, you will have a selection of several weapons available from me (the host) in town and receive some gold to go shopping/gambling.
b) The weapons will include Clegs Sword, Rixots Keen, or Knell Striker. First come first served. Your armors/jewelry are completely up to you and your finds.
c) Once you receive your weapon, you have 5 minutes to shop or leave town - no camping. Camping town gets immediate disqualification. Camping a waypoint is ok.
d) ONCE YOU SELECT A WEAPON, YOU CANNOT CHANGE. You may NOT trade with others. Know the gear beforehand, know your build.
6) All drops are public domain, and stealing drops is allowed.
7) You MAY kill Andy, but may not proceed to Act 2
8) If you die to a monster you are immediately disqualified, so be careful.
9) Last man standing at the end is declared the winner.
10) If you leave the game you are disqualified. Make sure your connection is good and computer is running fine (I recommend reboot before joining up).
a. The only reason I’ll allow for leaving is LAG. If you lag mid-game, you must tell the referee (me) and it will be determined if you may leave. You will have 15 seconds to rejoin the game if you must rejoin. Once you hit level 9, however, you cannot leave for ANY reason.
11) You will get 10 seconds to return to town to revive a merc, but only if NOT as a result of PvP combat. You must notify referee if you need to revive.
End Game Rules:
1) Any method to survive is allowed, except returning to town for more pots or healing from Akara. After Level 9, you will have one opportunity to purchase as many pots as you can carry.
2) You may team up with others in the game at Level 9. However, you cannot party with those people in your teams. This allows accidents to happen.
3) Only One person may be left standing to be declared the winner.
4) If you loot someone and choose to use the weapon you looted, you must drop your old weapon on the ground.
5) All salvaged gear is to be returned to the referee at the end of the game.
6) No yielding, timeouts, or quitting. You may do a Kenobi (stand still and let them kill you).
7) A 20 second loot break (or time-out) will be given once a person has fallen. Referee will declare time-ins and time-outs
8) Final dueling area will be declared by the Referee at the appropriate time, all people will proceed to that area.
9) No reviving of mercs once everyone has hit level 9.
Twinking (Upgrading) Bonuses:
The only reason for returning to town will be to upgrade certain items (if you find) in the game. You should print this section (or memorize it) so you know what to be on the lookout for in-game.
1) At Level 9 you get the weapon of your choice. A choice of Clegs, Rixots, and Knell are available, but first come first served. You do NOT have to use any of these weapons and may find your own in the game.
2) Certain questing items returned to the Referee earn you a Cathan’s Ring. These items are the Horadric Malus, Wirt’s Leg, and the Scroll of Inifuss.
3) Returning certain items to the Referee will earn you an upgraded item. There are a limited supply of each. These include:
a. Ethereal Superior Leather Gloves – Death’s Hand (2 available)
b. Ethereal Superior Sash – Death’s Belt (3 available)
c. Ethereal Superior Leather Boots – Gorefoots (1 available)
d. Ethereal Socketed Superior Buckler – Pelta Lunata (1 available)
e. Ethereal Superior Heavy Gloves – Bloodfists (2 available)
f. Ethereal Superior Wolf-head with +3 Werewolf, or Ethereal Superior Barb Helm with +3 Shout – Biggens Bonnet (1 available)
g. Ethereal Rare Scepter with +3 Might – Cleg’s Sword with -15% req jewel in it (MUST BE RETURNED AT END OF DUEL)
Rewards:
1) The Oculus, Wizardspike, and Shaftstop.
2) First place gets first pick, second gets second pick, and third place gets last pick.
