Iron Wolves?

Faster Cast Rate works... but you still have to worry about the AI. Kinda like IAS and Rogues.
but then since an iron wolf uses a sword, how do i boost up its cast rate. and wut u mean by kinda like IAS and Rogues. sry kinda new at this.

Yeah mstrnicegui is right... you'll need to focus on the armor like Viper magi & shields like Lidless or Eyeless. Can't think of anything for helms or swords... you probably would just want to stick with +skills and resists. The rune word silence in a crystal sword would probably do him well... you may be able to bum and old one off of someone.
Edit: O ... and about the Rogues... You can beef up their shot rate with a bunch of Increased Attack Speed but because of their AI they still stand around a lot. So increasing casting rates or attack speed is only marginally better with a numb nut for AI.

yeah, in terms of ai, the melee mercs are much better. It's hard to program a merc to stay away from enemies and attack at the highest rate possible.
overall, even though some people love act1 & 3 mercs, there's no beating act 2 mercs with a barb.

yea i see ur point. trying to try something else other than act 2 mercs.
how about a barb merc. get them some decent weapon and all.
and the upside is that we won't run around much like the act 3 mercs and tehy'll actually fight. and wouldn't an act 3 merc be pretty weak in hell since the monsters in hell gets a huge resistant bonus.

barb mercs are good. in some areas where there are enemies that knockback, barb mercs are better than act 2 mercs, because they have a better hit recovery. Everywhere else act 2 mercs are at least as good as barb mercs.

but anyways, why use an iron wolf? and if you do, why even bother to put gear on them? they are pretty terrible
I'm not big on mercs but I generally use act2 might or holy freeze, I only ever used a barb merc with my hammerdin so he would get the dmg boost of concentration
FYI... a lot of people seem to like Crescent Moon on a Balrog Blade for their Barb Merc. Vamp Gaze & Shaft are the usual armor suspects.MechShort said:how about a barb merc. get them some decent weapon and all.
If you're a fan of sets then Sazabi's works well on a Barb Merc. Usually, Sazabi's has a hard time with areas with a lot of Undead (so no ancient tunnels).
