infinity charger

ive been thinking about this build for awhile and i was wondering if anyones ever tried it.
basically its a charger w/ the holy shock aura active and using an infinity polearm as a weapon.
anyone have any gear suggestions?? i was thinking about a gskull w/ 2 litefacets as a helm, fort, bloodfists, angelics combo, gore riders, and dungoes as gear.
i think im gonna do my skills something like:
20 charge
20 holy shock
20 resist lightening
20 vigor
im building to lvl 85-ish so i have some points left over; i was wondering weither i should boost salvation [for more lite dmg] or might [more charge dmg]

any thoughts on gear/skills/stats??

an auradin (dream helm/shield) would most likely be as good, if not better than this. If you still wanted insane charge damage mixed in there, get yourself a grief zerker and fort (should be around 8k physical damage at least)

Remember also that conviction provides a nice defense cut, so you dont need to go too crazy with AR
 
i was looking for something for both pvm and pvp so if they stacked res against my lite dmg i can do phys dmg as well; yea i thought about the conv. think after posting and decided to go highlords and 2 rf's.
 
put the rest of ur skill points in the second charge synnergy.

edit: just did some calculations, with all skills maxed, you should be doin 4800-22200 physical damage, + 1-6500 lightning damage with a -145% to lightnig resists. On top of that u have -80% defense and a 1000 damage holy shock aura, so it looks like a badass build.

heh thanks for the calcs
so after reading up on normal chargers i decided to use an enigma as an armor being as the +2 skills will add a little phys dmg as well as lite dmg.
and since the lite dmg is significantly lower than the phys ill use off. gcs.
so i think ive got my build all planned out

If ur gonna ditch the fort, then I suggest u get a nice coh instead of the enigma. Ur not gonna be using the tele on the nigma anyway since u charge around, plus its also got 2 skills and a ****load of resists.

I'm facing the same dilemma myself now. I'm playing a Charger myself now (USWEST, softcore, non-ladder; my acct is Typhon, feel free to message me).

I'm not playing an Infinity variant: my charger is pure physical damage, using an eBotD warpike. (Though I'm really intrigued by kferny's idea... If I could only get my hands on a non-eth Infinity I would try it in a heartbeat, but I can only find eths..) But I'm facing exactly this tough choice regarding armor. Ive been using CoH myself, but am considering switching to Enigma. Not for the teleport--who needs it as a Charger? But for the 45% FRW mod. You can never have too much speed as a Charger. Tactical mobility on the battlefield is EVERYTHING for us, and that makes Enigma might tasty. But is it worth foregoing CoH's resists and 8% life leech? Ergh! Choices, choices...

yea this charger has 110% frw [35 from infinity, 45 from nigma, and 30 from goreriders] when you switch to the vigor aura you are moving VERY FAST. the only problem is my resist are poo; the only resist i have are from my anni and torch [which are both perfect b/c i made them on an editor] its seems ok though; cept for the fact that im kills me as do elemental dmg [making the chaos sanc almost un-soloable. as for the tele on nigma-its fun to charge-tele-charge through walls. =D

edit-i have been experimenting w/ a widowmaker on switch for range; you can shoot them and switch-charger so when they hit they get the conviction aura [about a 7k lite dmg =]] i also use an doom might merc; it ups my dmg and slows them down quite nice
