I'm alive and thinking about "D3 on PS" Tuesdaily

Sweet, lots of magic players here!

When did you start? I started playing in 94 but didn't get on the tour until 96. I never got into the top 8 on the tour, but dominated the local scene, got a shop to sponsor me and my partner for a few years. It was fun, I miss it.

I started in 93/94. Missed Unlimited by about a month, so I have cards from Revised+. I played casually through highschool and college and now. I won lots of local drafts in college, and those basically paid for themselves. =) I go to a few prereleases now and then but I don't have the income to become serious in a format. Wouldn't that be cool though!

As for today, I was playing with my aunt. She only won one game against me when I was mana screwed, out of the whole time. I wish I knew how to make it more fun for her, since it seems like she has no fun if I go easy but also it's no fun to lose. We did have a bit of a close EDH (commander) game that I eventually won (Meloku vs Garza Zol).

Also, we are really supposed to get snow tonight. It's kinda exciting if we don't lose power. I will shovel the driveway and that will be good exercise.

I'm an intermittent Magic player. Usually only play socially, mostly with my wife. Stopped buying new cards due to finances (in the last 12 months I've had to fork out large sums on other more important things, mostly on credit cards which are still being paid off).

@Twibz: So what you're saying is that you're a typically boring fanboi who has to take every opportunity to talk about how great your preferred product is and how crap your non-preferred competing product is. Such an annoying modrn phenomenon.

I would be interested in a PS3 (will probably be PS4 by the time it's out) version of D3, if not for the fact the game is nowhere near good enough to justify spending something close to $200 on two different versions of it. I'd rather make a $200 donation to GGG.

RL: Work later on. More cursing of the persistant rain.

D2: Will get a run at some point.

OVG: Perhaps PoE.

Thats not it at all, i was basically stating the reasons why i didnt like D3 and why i especially wouldnt play it on a particular platform, you assumed i am 'one of them' when in actual fact i am not.

Of course i prefer the xbox to the ps3 but i wasnt flaming on the ps3 because 'I iz fanboi!!!' its because i have extensively played both and for me i have lost faith in sony whereas microsoft have fulfilled my expectations and i feel i can trust them.

There are a number of things i prefer on the PS3 such as the predictive text system when typing, the controller is better to use for long periods, online is free. But the underlying issue for me is i dont particularly have faith in the company.

I find it rude that you call me a 'fanboi' when you take my comment out of context, it was an open question by Baron that i gave a response to, the fact that you dont like my response is fine but i dont feel your above comment was necessary at all, I am quite offended you view me as that kind of guy, but oh well.

Why the need for such hyperbole as "load of rubbish", "the amazing 360", and good old SHOUTING IN CAPS if you're just sharing an opinion?

I must say I never thought I'd live to see the day where someone would type this with a straight face: "microsoft have fulfilled my expectations and i feel i can trust them". Hatred of Microsoft was pretty much a given when I was in my teens and early 20s. How things change (I think Apple have inherited the most hated tag, in spite of the silly level of devotion from their masses of fans). :)

Because i dont represent my opinion in the Queen's english doesnt make it any less relevant or infantile, what is wrong with the way i portrayed it? I dont think anybody else was bothered by it as far as i am aware.

What you are saying about the hatred of Microsoft is fair enough because of course we have our own opinions but please dont try to make me look stupid over the internet, that is just a bit silly in my opinion. I have nothing against you or your opinion as i may have said before but dont try to make me look like an idiot (i can do that myself and maybe already have done :whistling: ).

I think what i can see from this 'discussion' between us is that there is a good age difference here, and we both obviously have different points of view. Lets draw a line under this :)

*offers out hand to be shaken*

lol nice hand shake offer

*looks at hand*

You should know that's not how we do things around here.

*kicks shins*

*steals wallet*

:badteeth:

To explain the Microsoft thing, I'm not having a go at you. But if you'd grown up in the era I did, you would be equally surprised at such a positive opinion being freely offered about them. They really were the big, bad guys that everyone wanted to see taken down a notch. It was only the advent of another big, bad guy (Apple and its slew of iProducts) that really let Microsoft off the hook. And I suppose the XBox helped a bit as well.
