If you could take away one hack what would it be?

For me, it has to be chicken hack. This one hack has turned hardcore into a joke. A mockery... Made it into softcore. I miss classic. :hanky:

When the server was super laggy (the black wall of death). When multi-shot lit enchanted bosses ruled. And CS runs were the bomb. :lol: OMG! Ice-Blink!
 
Chickenhack, for the same reason. Turns hardcore into softcore, I would rather have people usin botted items and maphack be mortal than people with non botter gear be immortal.

isnt chicken hack part of maphack tho? -- if so, id vote remove maphack -- youd also be removing crap like pickit if you did that (i think)

I would vote chicken hack or tppk.

Chicken hack pretty much limits all of the viable dueling builds to: whatever can get you a 1-hit kill...
 
I think if someone went back in time and stole Mousepad's D2 CD's just maybe all the hacks that we know wouldn't exist. Of course that's wishful thinking since there's about 13507513 other mousepad-type's out there who could've done the same thing. He started it and we've never seen legit play since.
 
tppk, simply for the fact that it pretty much ruined pubs. And i've always preferred to pub over anything else.

Yeah, as have I (usually at the hands of one of my duelers, or to someone else in a dueling game or while pking..) But I have seen MANY more escape thanks to it, there are exceptions, but as a rule, it turns HC to SC.

And yeah, I think I might also vote Matt, nobody likes THAT hack.

its simply knowing what symbols to use for a certain color tag, like [co lor=blabla] [/co lor]

I think we would eventually get the hacks. But he defenitly was one of the first ones to actually start hacking the game as it is now. evolution of hacks
maphack->bots->chicken->color hack->misc hacks (such as like making hc chars w/o killing norm baal)(********, since it just is....)
 
tppk cuz im not smart enough to avoid it like SIP and i got ***** by it. and bunch of other ppl were between me and the tppker but they are pussies and had chicken.
