I want to make a Smiter

A few questions for PvM smiter.

1) What other attack skill best complements a PvM smiter? Do you think zeal since works well off the maxed fanaticism?

2) Does enchant from demon limb work with smite?

3) Does Ed from shield add to smite damage? Where is a good smite damage calculator that takes into account item mods and D2 lvl of difficulty?

4) Can you use have fun using a Pvm smiter for MF or does the need for so much crushing blow ruin the MF-ing ability?

5) What about Canebreak as a smite weapong? Below are the stats:

If this is PVM, then it's fine. But if it's PVP, just like the other dude, you are short in damage reduce. Just the verdungo alone will get you killed faster than you can blink.
 
So the stats Iam making are:
Smite, Fana, HS, Defiance Right?

What fcr is needed for PvP?

How much fhr is decent?

What would be better to use?
Razor's Edge or Redeemer? Im planning on using the redeemer as a prebuff

I have to differ on that, with this gear setup I have almost 30k def, max block and okay res, using charge to get to them then quick changing to smite before i contact it's pretty much over, I also have around 1300 life w/o charms or bo, I'm not going to sacrifice smite damage for an ss or the mods on stone for a levi. etc.
with 2 chances to cast life tap and the fastest possible attack speed for smite plus the high % of ow and cb, i prefer this setup.

I have a feeling that ROMVS, like myself, may tend to view all things smite in more of a pal v pal aspect. Im sure your setup works well in pubs, but say you find yourself in a smite against smite duel, thats one situation where you will really start to notice the ill effects of a lack of dr, and realize defence isnt much of a substitute. Its not good. Not at all.
 
okay, well I guess a 2 ber coa would be a better overall choice, I'd have to use highlord's for the ias to break the final frame.
 
i have a question on a smiter. Are they really item dependent. If there not , im gana think about makin one to piss off my friends with. :lol: and what is the final dmg of some high lvl smiters? :scratch:

My lvl 85 smiter does like 3.2k to 3.3k damage with upgraded hoz and astreon and with cta's +1 skill bonus. If I somehow chamed something instead of trying to get near 50% dr, then it would go to about 3.3k to 3.4k with dual bk rings. And yeah, smiters are some of the most item dependent characters out there, kind like dragon talon sins where the boots and the +skill items determine whether you would deal enough damage or not.

p.s. with astreon, the listed damage is not correct as the +dmg mod on it and on redeemer is being added to the shield damage and being modified by your ed sources so actual damage is much higher (it's lke having a higher level of holy shield)
