I agree. I am a newcomer around here, and it is dissapointing to see this happen. FB has quite a reputation and stigma about him. He is seen as a "forum elder", someone to learn from and look up to for us newbies. There are rules for this forum and they have been broken in this case. It is unfortunate, and I wish FB all the best in the future. Honestly it's just a game, it's not like he robbed a bank. But rules are rules, for senior or new. Best wishes in your real life!

So yea, I would have believed you. Zod drops do happen and we are a pretty neat bunch of SPF:ers that play on a daily basis. If you found a CHAM rune the next day I would be suspicious though

well reputation do much yes but F_B has done things that seemed strange before.
And in relation to how old this place is and some of us members F_B is not a forum elder.
But we have had hackers and cheaters over all the years so that in it self is nothing new.
Some of these people have said that they have changed their ways and started fresh.
But thrust is a hard thing to regain if your found doing dirty things. Many have learned this on these boards.

Im glad the most advanced cheaters and hackers primary focus on bnet or play open.

I´ve had a hard time trusting fb ever since I found out that the "fb sells a Zod" movie wasn´t for real. My opinion of him sank deeply after that. Major bummer that it was fake. "jiansonz sells a Mal" doesn´t have quite the same ring to it... :lol:


That said, I would still like to compete against bob in the Melee Blues tournament. If he behaves...

My feeling is that FB's disregard for the rules is a stunning insult to the rest of us. Play the way you want on your own computer, as long as it doesn't affect others. That's really a good rule.

But the minute you start giving away the products of your cheating, trade or MP with other people who hold to a different standard, and do so with a calculated cover-up of your every misdeed, then you show yourself to have little regard for anyone but yourself.

FB, there were other occasions when your legitness has been questioned and you have claimed to be innocent. You had numerous chances to stop lying but didn't. Now you are caught without room to wriggle free, so there really isn't anything left to do but confess.

It isn't noble. Or good. Or even "right". You're just shedding a little more light on what we already knew.

I'm completely opposed to "forgive and forget" here (not that this thread in any way constitutes a vote) because it sends the wrong message to the entire forum. Rules are important in a community and shouldn't be trashed in the name of attention-seeking. This is not a contrite individual who has apologized to the people here. This is not someone who was ignorant of the rules or who "made a mistake". This is someone who has been exceedingly careful not to cross the line leading to "hard evidence" and who would probably love a second chance so he could take care not to cross it a second time. This is a person who started with hacked items from the beginning and has been using them to the very end. Bob's stay in the SPF has been an exercise in guile and deceit.

That's from the "should" side of my brain. Another part of me says, "who cares?" I don't dislike FB, and he did contribute a lot. Much of his spam was quite amusing. But is he trustworthy? C'mon, people. Get serious.

My bad. I took it from the fact that his "Join Date" stated Sep 2003 and the oldest I've seen is Jun 2003 he was a more senior member around here, perhaps my chronological ranking is out. Sorry for any offence.

There was a forum reset in June 2003 I have been a member of these boards since June 2001, but only a member in the SPF since Jan 2002 or something.

Wow there is a great difference of opinions here I am surprized at how much mindsets change in such a short term, especially of those who are yelling Crusify. It is up to the mods to determine whether FB takes a hike or stays with restrictions. They have temp banned him in the past and have an idea on how to handle the situation, it is in their hands not ours. FB broke a rule and knows he broke it now he must face the music and let fate decide.

I have said it many times before. And how is it not fair? I did state my personal opinion, correct, but I also stated that he did many good things for the community. As well, I did not in any way say I was glad he was leaving. There is nothing insulting about my post, at least in my opinion. Cheers!

This thread isn't anything but Bob admiting what we all now know. He has had many opportunities in the past to state his innocence or guilt and has always pleaded innocent and continued to interact in forum tournies/MP/giveaways.

This is just another attention seeking and grandstanding stunt.
