Hypothesis: all -resist sources can break immunities in D2R

In D2LoD classic, only Conviction and Lower Resist could break elemental immunities. For D2R, it’s well documented that cold mastery can now break cold immunes. But there’s more: my lightning sorc is able to kill some lightning immune monsters with Crescent Moon as the only -resist item equipped (that’s -35%). Examples are the Tainted type and Spearwoman type monsters in act I. Admittedly, it’s a slow process but it works. Note that the monster info still shows “lightning immune” but it’s taking damage nonetheless.


So my hypothesis is this: all -resist sources can now break immunities if stacked high enough.

Yes, they probably can, but that might be changed in a future patch. Until that happens, it's OK to benefit from it, I think.
