How to Rush

Howdy howdy howdy...

I just want to get a critique on how to rush in version 1.10. The quickest way, doing minimal quests. I'm gonna post how I believe it's done and please correct anything that I do wrong. (Like missing a quest that has to be done, or doing one that doesn't have to be done.)

Act I

TP to catacombs 4, drop Andy and move on.

Act II

TP to Halls of the Dead, get cube. (if they don't have already)
TP to Far Oasis, to Maggot Lair, Get Staff.
TP to Lost City, to Claw Viper Temp, Get Ammy.
Make Staff.
TP to Arcane, Kill Summoner, Kill Duriel.

Act III

Need imput on how to rush this act... Not too sure how to do it.

Act IV

TP to River of Flame, Kill D.

Act V

Not sure here, gonna guess...

TP to Ancients Way, Kill Ancients.
TP to World Stone, Kill Baal.

Please let me know if I'm doing any extra steps, or if I'm missing something that has to be done in order to move on. I have no idea how to rush act III. Please tell me you don't have to go find every freakin piece of the flail...

Act 3
TP to travincal, whipe out counsil (sp?)
TP to meph, kill him.

Act 5
Good, don't forget the lvl restrictions on the ancients (lvl 20,40,60) and if you want to rush lowlvl chars here goes:
1. rush everyone to act 5
2. get a player of lvl 20 and do ancients with him
3. let that player make a new game and everyone joins it
4. you kill baal with that one person standing next to you and other are in ton leaching the quest.

Actually, you don't even need to go to the halls of the dead. Just give your cube to the person being rushed. You will get a cube when you kill the coucel in act3.
 
Pretty much got it covered there. When I rush, I usually help them out afterwards with the skill quests like Izual and Radament, just makes you look better, you know? :lol:
 
Oh yeah! Placement for the TP for the rushee is important as well. As follows:

Act1 - Right inside the entrance to Catacombs 4.
Act2 - No real placement, they'll just follow you. But almost 100% of the time it makes things faster to tp in Harem 1 so they can go through to talk to Jerhyn faster.
Act3 - Near the Act4 portal.
Act4 - After clearing the star in the middle of the Chaos Sanctuary.
Act5 - Right at the minions obviously.

Act1-3 placements make the most difference regarding a speedier rush. One pet peeve of mine is a slow as heck rushee. :rant:
 
i'll edit this to make it more in depth.

Act I

TP to catacombs 2, to catacombs 4, drop Andy and move on.

Act II

Speak to Jeryhn when u get from Act 1.
TP to Halls of the Dead, get cube. (if they don't have already)
TP to Far Oasis, to Maggot Lair, Get Staff.
TP to Lost City, to Claw Viper Temp, Get Ammy.
Make Staff.
Speak to drognan, atma, cain, open quest and makes sure the quests get completed.
TP to Arcane, Kill Summoner with the rushee present.
Get to Canyon, to tomb, Kill Duriel. (rushee dont have to be present, at least 1 rushee speak to tyreal will do)

Act III

TP to Trivincal, Kill councils with the rushee present. If die, dont press escape, espcially in Hell.
TP to durance level 2, to level 3 kills Mep (rushee dont have to be present, just make sure he can gets into the portal to get to Act 4)

Act IV

TP to River of Flame, Kill Diablo. (rushee needs to be present)

Act V

TP to Ancients Way, Kill Ancients.(rushee clvl 20 for normal; clvl 40 for nightmare; clvl 60 for hell)
Another way if the rushee's level isnt 20, 40 or 60 respectively, is to stay in town while another rushee that has reached the required level follows through.
TP to World Stone level 2, to throne of destruction, Kill Baal.
If the rushee's quest for ancients is incomplete because of the clvl, make sure another rushee that has the ancients' quest completed completes this Baal quest.
 
A little word about Act III : after the counsil is killed, the rushee has to speak to Cain. He'll then be allowed to enter the tp to Mephi.

Another one about Act IV : the rushee needs to be present AND not too far from Diablo when he dies.

Act IV - To make things easier the rushee does not need to be alive when diablo dies, as long as you see the death so run in, hit him, die and watch, do not hit escape until after he is dead. Pretty sure this still works :)

Act 2: Get an Act2 Staff mule, which is a character that has the tomb open [makes game].

Act 4: Near the Center Star, there are outcroppijngs of the wall, place your character firmly in them, so that you can barely see them. You now cannot be hit by Diablo's attacks unless he reaches around.

Act 5: To skip difficulty, join a game where someone is killing Baal for quest. Party with them, and as long as they get credit for the kill you will too. [For lvls under the Ancients limit, also you must stay in Horrogath].
