How much dex with mace frenzy??

How much dex with mace frenzy??

I have been using a mace based frenzy barb in the new ladder season. I currently have around 40 dex with a level 40 barb just entering Act 2 Nightmare. I've been using flails a lot as they seem to work quite well and can have up to five sockets. I intended to use an "Honour" knout through most of Nightmare. But knouts require 77 dex.

So, after a pointlessly long story how much dex is worth having with a mace based frenzy barb? I'm intending to use Baranar's for most of Hell so I don't need a lot for that...but with a lack of equipment is it worth pumping dex to around 75 just for ease of finding equipment.\

You could go up to 77 just to use scrouges if you like flails so much. You will find that the 2 bstars are not all that. But Hey if you like it go with it. You will only need 44 dex to use the bestars any ways. Any thing less then 100 is just fine.
 
considered stormlashes? fast, 33% CB, better av. damage

also, dex is negotiable imho. 100+ dex on a barb is fine. of course it's coming straight out of your vitality, but again imho many barbs could survive just fine without 300 vitality :P better AR from skills and stats means more room for killing gear, which means more FUN, especially in party play :) :wave:

Anyways, back on topic. Are you using a shield, or two maces? Just to get it clear. If using a shield, (highly suggested) then pump dex to about 180 (Equip will take care of the rest for max block).

If using 2 Bstars, I would suggest around 50 dex
 
I'm using two mace weapons (frenzy you need two weapons) the only reason I mentioned the baranar's stars instead of stormlashes is that the stars seem easier to get ahold of and have a lot less of a character level requirement. If everything went well I would be using dual stormlashes by the endgame.

This is the new ladder that's why I was planning on the stars.

edit: k, didn't see the bit about new ladder. stormlashes are a lot rarer than bstars that's for sure.
 
no i'm not from blackorc.com. nobody else should be using this name, it's 100% original me. also, i got to the top ten on wgtour.com in season 2 (brood war) with it :)

sure it's rastaputin and not rasputin? most people confuse the two. dyslexia runs rampant on b.net.
 
Yeah, it was probably rasputin then.... I've been banned from BO so I can't even visit to check if it's him anymore. Thanks for bearing with me on this..
