How many charms do you carry?

I have a 2X8 space left in my inventory. The rest is taken up by cube, tomes, and charms. Charms for everything. In Hardcore it's all plus life and resists, with ONE charm for FHR on my assassin, because she doesn't have the resists from equipment, and in HC every little point in life is a point you can take in damage.

But it just seems wrong to carry around this many charms. I feel like a n00b looking at my character, or having to stop and throw away that oil potion I accidentally picked up so I can pick up a 2X8 item on the ground. Lost a few drops to other players that way. (Is it just me? I always give the person who got the kill the item that fell...)

How many charms do most of you carry around full time?

um u think thats bad i carry 40 charms , my belt holds tp srolls 1dentity scrolls, mana pots , health pots it gets a little anoying very fast

I've got 2 grand charms (which take up 3 vertical slots), 3 large charms (which take up 2 vertical slots) and 4 charms (each taking a slot). Playing on SP so my charms are mostly +elemental damage charms.

I'm carrying charms only in my invent, and have 2x4 slots left for picking up 1 item.
Indeed I have to be carefull which one to pick up.

If Baal drops an occu, shako and herald in one drop. I can only pick up one of them.
So I have to think fast about wich one to pick up and point accurate at the item so that I won't pick up any other crap.

I usually try to keep 16 slots. Don't worry about having too much charms, but be careful about the items you choose to pick in public games, keep some room for the best stuff. Charms are very useful, and every help is welcomed, especially in HC I guess.

i did try to get rid of my tp tomes and id tomes once... the 2X2 slots it takes up are a little help, I guess..... thank god I don't need a key on my assassin.... that'll be my anni slot (when I get one...)

belts.... I just can't give up the pot-slots, and I like to keep lots....

I do find that sometimes I'll throw away a charm with say +% to a resistance if I find the same number and more mods on another charm, rather than stacking the two... gotta be choosey in this life.

When ladder running...
4x10 filled with charms, belt holds TP. Something good that I can't resist drops open up inventory and hover it. Don't need itams when you've got your ladder runner fully equipped.

When MFing I leave a 4x2 space open for itams. Belt still holds TPs.

My belt:
Red Purple TP Blue

Really it totally depends on Pvm or Pvp.

PvM

Half skillers and rest space for drops and such

PvP

All skillers + sc's with anni

Normally dont carry cube around with me or a key for that matter.

Crazy as it sounds...

I play with my inventory full up with charms, Hey...every little bit helps! Only spaces not filled with charms is holding my Horadric cube. In my cube I keep my ID and Town Portal tomes. The rest of my cube space is usually empty and used to store any decent drops (getting dusty inside my cube).

Reason I play with my inventory full of charms?...I might as well select what I carry becasue If I leave room open in my inventory it soon fills up with junk (potions/arrows/crap gear I wouldnt think twice about leaving on the ground). Oh, I have used the "/nopickup" option before but is just doesn't work, because I run around with my "option" and "command" keys held down (I play on a MAC) to watch for good drops...which cancells out /nopickup.

The only drops I EVER get anyways are those that fall in my own private games. With my 56K modem connection, lag, and people with pickit I NEVER see/get any public drops. Well...every once in a while I might see the drops frozen in mid-air when lag hits, then when the lag clears the drops and other players are long gone from the game...sigh...that's as close as I ever come to getting or seeing public drops.

I carry both tomes (I'm not bright enough to remember to refresh my scrolls every trip to town) and enough charms to fix any problems my character might have but I allways have 12-16 spaces availble (unless its PVP then my inventory is full)

For my PvP chars, i use maximum charms, for my mf chars i use about 20 spaces, and the rest i pick up and use what i need.

I have always carried a tome of tp, a tome of identify and a stack of 12 keys. I then pack my inventory full of charms, leaving between 8-12 spaces free for picking up crap. Just today I realize how completely dumb it is to carry a tome of identify. I have been wasting 2 whole inventory squares for a few years now :(

Yeah, I also have my whole inventory full of charms, except for the Cube. I carry 8 skiller GC's, 1 Anni, and the rest of the spaces are filled with 20 life SC's. I put my TP scrolls on my belt.

Slot 1 on my belt is Healing pots, Slot 2 is mana, Slot 3 is Full Rejuvs, and Slot 4 is the TP scrolls of course. I don't carry any ID scrolls with me because I know what the item is before I ID it.

Picking up drops is not an issue. I have become very fast at opening my inventory, grabbing the item, and tossing it into the cube. My cube is always empty whenever I go anywhere, so I can carry about 3 items (1 armor, a belt, and a GC or something similar) before having to go back to town to unload.

Using this setup I have snatched Tals armor from Baal with 4-5 other people around, Um from the Chaos Sanc, countless GC's and SC's, and many, many jewels. It works for me, thanks to my fast reflexes. :)
