heh, I got newbed.

Fell for the oldest trick in the book.

A boner necro I'd been playing with for a few games hosed me. Shoulda seen it coming. We were shooting the breeze and he asked if I wanted travincal, since we were getting parts for the flail. I said sure. BAM. Getting damn rusty. Fighting mr.Icefist and suddenly it dawns on me that there sure are alot of spirits flying through the air... I have the epiphany second (aka : Ah crap, I know what's coming...like when you've just done something so stupid you're brain is just now catching up) and then hostile. Dead asn.

Wouldn't feel bad about it if most of my gear wasn't lent to me by Phantom. My own fault for running a character with sub 800 hpts and falling for such an amazingly newb tactic.

KiNg something or other. Bah upon it.


Shall restart, luckily I muled off a Kwill and have some crappy starter itamz to regain my former status of atleast 1 character.

I might go sorc for sheer killing power..Or boner for irony.
 
I did the same exact thing today, but I realized it was kind of erie feeling and decided maybe I should move away... 3 seconds later a zon on the top of my screen drops.
 
Yep. I don't play with any necros anymore.

Just can't trust em these days.

Necro joins game, I go to town. If necro wants to party, I leave game.

Sad but safe.
 
had a close one myself the other day. Was leading a bunch of norm baal runs when a zon kept hanging back in the long hallway in the throne. I got an odd feeling noticing her way back there (it wasn't like she was running to catch up). I quickly teled about two screens up and sure enough, guided arrows started flying and she hostiles. Dead pali pretty much exactly where I had been standing. Luckily I noticed...

It's always frustrating when you know it's coming and still can't get away fast enough.
 
Had a similar experience awhile back... created a sorcy got her 2 lvl 54 and entered a nm cows game 2 gain a few quick lvls...

Some1 opens the portal and after a few moments I go in a zon is spammin MS... my mind just wanders... I'm casting Blizz and so on... next thing I know... BAM!!!!!! TPPK'ed by the zon.. he had a bear druid as a companion...

sorry, this confuses me. i've never played a ga zon, so forgive me. don't they usually just spam the arrows and let the arrows pick the target? If i had been standing next to the pali, wouldn't i have been just as likely as him to get hit? Or was the zon specifically targeting the pali, and where i was standing didn't really matter (as long as i wasn't in a direct path from pali to zon)? i assumed that the arrows hit whatever was closest, so by teleporting away from the zon past several monsters i was using the monsters as a shield. (and it just happened that the pali was closer to the zon then the monsters)

edit: i use this against bs necros too... and i think it works. help please... you've got me questioning my entire anti-tppk strategy
 
I believe your strategy is fine, when they start spamming the shots that they hope will kill you they are part of your party & so cant get a namelock on you. Once they are hostile, the homing missiles, be they BS or GA will lock on to the 'easiest' target for them to hit, at least this is how i understand it

that's how i understood it too. and my method of "always keeping monsters between necros and me" has served me well in the past (just the other day was amazed when i got tppk attempted on by 5 different chars... none got me since i was using this technique)
 
I got triggerd the other day by some nub zon, level 57 i think. She did some odd 75 dmg. VrO_oM i think was the amazons name, U_0 or U_O was the account name. east btw

this forum wont do this because there is a lot space to missuse it and discredit not cheating players and further why should this "forum" list cheaters when they already accept the fact that there is/was/will be a group of persons posting and starting threads here who actually confirm cheating?

dont understand me wrong. i feel exactly the same way but we have to see reality is different.

ahh, thank you. Still shouldn't matter though, since if they used autoaim on me and tried to fire through a pack of monsters with me "locked on," it would still hit the monsters before ever getting to me (right?)

yeah, vro_om or whatever was the one who did this as well.
