Hats off to Dredd!

So yeah. Like... Uhmmm... I know I said I'd probably never come back, but it's funny how life works, right?... I think I finally found my calling, and you know what? It's thanks to the big lummox who's leaving us. I haven't gotten to know Dredd quite as well as some, but I have gotten to know him in the time that I have been here and there. Dredd has seen some of my worst times and best times, he has always been there to listen to my stories, whether they be lame or entertaining. Dredd is like a big brother to me and I really really hope he is happy doing whatever it is he decided to consume his life with next (marriage...possibly... :laugh:). Dredd, I know you now more than I ever did when I wandered into the comm OT with Ash back a few years ago. I also know how you get around me when im talking all sentimental, so just promise me you'll take this message to heart when you read it, and don't get all blubbery you big lug.

I love ya Dredd. I will really and truly miss you. As they say, "one sun sets and another rises". Your sun may set here but many will miss your rays of warmth dance across their face, myself included. Basically, to anyone who is curious... I'll be back home in four days and I wanted it to be a surprise to you all when I started posting again but I didn't expect such an unfortunate turn of events to take place. Sorry to all my friends on MSN for being MIA for so long... I had some personal stuff do deal with...

Dreddy-poo, me love you long time. Your advice has helped me change the very course of my future and you are a person that has made me think about a lot of events in my life. Reflecting upon them has helped me reassert who I am, what I want to do and where I want to go. You'll be glad to know I am not under my mother's thumb any longer, the decision to move back home was solely mine. It sucks... I come back... And another one bites the dust...

Naw... it was a stumble... I usually only use USER CP but one day I was bored cause noone was posting so I decided to check out some things and BOOM! Here I am
 
I was a Dalek newb as well (well, I heard about Daleks, but I didn't know how they look like) until I made a seemingly harmless joke about Dredd's Dalek avatar. His reply made me cower in fear... and I already was a mod at that time.

Thanks for all the kind words. For the last several days I've been at a bit of a loss as to how to respond, but I suppose it's time to say a few things and get it over with. I'm also hoping that my posting here will also mean that by tomorrow everything will be back to normal and I won't have to stare at this sticky when I pop by to check on things (old habits die hard). I'm a very private person IRL - I have to admit I don't like having all eyes turned towards me, but I digress. I appreciate the compliments, support, advice, and respect I've received over the last two years and hope I've done my job in a manner that was worthy of all of it.

Moderating has been a wonderful experience - I hope I have the opportunity to do it again someday after I get some things in order. This is a wonderful community and the time I've volunteered to watch over this place has always been given with love.

In the meantime, I've been a member of this community for years and I plan to be a member for many more sooo ... let's stop with the byes, the setting suns, and other hoo-ha because I'm not going anywhere. :smiley:

... there is only one Chibi Tatsumaki in the whole wide world and there she is! Q, this 'big lummox' knew all along that any advice he ever gave was completely unnecessary. You have a good head on your shoulders, oodles of common sense; you're caring, responsible ... you are more than capable of taking control of your life and I'm so glad that you are doing just that.

Daleks were always reserved for crackdowns though. If you insist on flying 'tars, wouldn't redheads be a little more appropriate? Of course, I'd much prefer it if we could just skip that all together and just carry on with business as usual but if it's good for morale, then by all means ... :smiley:

I'm on some kind of DSL 'waiting list' - apparently I'm not allowed to install my own router. If I did they wouldn't have an excuse to charge me 70 bux, I guess.

Sooo ... I've been sitting offline waiting for them to call and passing the time with Seiken Densetsu 3. I've become obsessed with that game. Ordered a brand new computer for Hellgate too. :grin:

Excuses! :rant:

They made me pay for one of their modems when I got DSL, but I was able to use my own router.

I don't think I've heard of that game, what's it about?



 
Dredd is cool. I have seen him non green'ed, then green'ed, and now back to non green'ed.
Awesome moderator, and also funny dancing devil things are crazy cool.
