Harder than than uber trist?

I was personally pretty pleased that Blizzard was putting in some considerably tougher PvM content, but since I can solo uber trist with my smiter I feel they still aren't hard enough. So my question is two fold:

1) Do you think Blizz could/should make something even harder?

2) If you think they should, how?

simple solution...nerf cb and see how wasy the tristram triplets are

Uber Meph has conviction, so lets throw in many-many-many black souls there. Preferably boss packs with their own mods.

And for the sake of it, make Uber Meph & Diablo Physical Immune (enough so that no curse can disable it) and Uber Baal Elemental Immune.

Grief wielding smiter doesn't need cb, just enough ias

But, I'm still waiting to see what the SoH does. Still hoping it has something to do with act1 (fallen shamans carry the same flags, and the caves entranced have the same flag as well)

If they do want to make it even more uber, how about some Uber Ancients, looking forward to beating those (since the ancients are stronger than Baal, Imagine three of them, stronger than Baal clone, all with a lot very irritating mods)

If crushing blow did not affect the uber bosses you would not see anyone soloing them, even a well coordinated 8 person team would have a tough time. Blizzard made a big mistake by allowing CB to affect the ubers.

It still wouldn't probably be as hard as you are thinking. If I'm right, then Smite still stuns the enemy. If you've got a zealot, who doesn't realy on CB that much anyway, then you can just beat... and beat... and beat... until he dies. Since whoever you're hitting would be stunned, he can't be hittting you back with summons/specials.

Make them summon those bugged psn/phys dmg vipers that Nihlathak has, and occasionally a nasty boss viper or perhaps huge packs of those witches that fire bloodstars or whatever you call them and amp you too. And make the Dia/Baal have random auras including thorns. Or perhaps IM casting OK's from Chaos Sanctuary hmmm. Or add in a few extra bosses like the teleporting extra strong cursed fanaticism Hephaesto of old that would chase you with teleport and scare classic HC players!

Also disable CB on the bosses and make them uncursable like possessed champions!

I don't think CB is the culprit here in making them too easy, rather lifetap is the issue. My smiter is a very poor one, he uses Lightsaber as his weapon if that says anything, but he is able to solo uber trist because of one simple piece of gear, Dracul's Grasp. The lifetap makes my smiter damn near invincible and I can take all the time in the world to kill the ubers.

I do like the idea of uber ancients though. That would be interesting.

All areas of the game should be playable solo, just hard as can be. Not everyone has friends and some friends are not friends at all. It is really hard to do Tristram and be the one who get the charm. Now, if all players got a charm then it would be great to make an 8 player quest. Only then you would have too many charms too soon. I think Blizzard did a good job with the quest.

As to the SoH, all it does is stop Picket, at least so far. I think they should replace the SoJ ring for bringing on the Clone; they are just rare enough to make a good balance now that SoJs are much removed from the game.

here's an idea: have the game disable certain items (or just certain mods on them). perhaps just have them only a little bit stronger than normal (not completely "uber", but you'd be unable to use any runewords, crafted items, or uniques  go rares! :D

Mirror, mirror

I can think of nothing scarier than having to fight a maxxed out version of yourself (resist all 75% even in Hell, maximum stats allowed for a level 99 character, and whatever gear you're carrying).

Especially if he pots...... That would be fun in a way, actually. However, I would think that he should use exactly what you do. Your TP is disabled (or cause area to reset), and he has the exact same stat as you, including stat, skill, pots, charms, weapons, armors, etc. He also has a merc identical to you, and has equips as well. Of course, if that is not hard enough, you can up his damage, defense, and hp by a percentage.

That sounds like a good idea.. You open up like a portal in a4 or something, the area could be called 'Shadow World' and you have to fight an exact level version of yourself with alot more life/resists/defense

That would be cool. Maybe have evil, "mirror" versions of all the characters playing in the game at the time. Same skills, same gear, etc. maybe even the same potions. Then it'd be a real battle. though there'd have to be something that makes them keep up with what equipment you have (so no entering to spawn them with crap gear, then going to town and putting on the good stuff)

EDIT: Here's another idea to go along with that. How about they do EXACTLY what your character does (aka, if you run, they run. you attack, they attack. etc. etc.) so it'd be like an actual mirror you're fighting. You'd have to find some way of tricking the clone/shadow or perhaps merging with them by unequipping all weapons. (if you've ever beaten the original prince of persia game, you'd know what I mean). Maybe a life bonus or something similar for merging with them.

Well that's a nice idea, but there are two major issues with it.

1) It would be very easy to work around, even accounting for gear changes etc. Off the top of my head I can think of at least one build that could do it easy, and that's a skelemancer of all things. Sure your "evil twin" may have lvl 40 raise skeleton/mastery, but if he doesn't somehow spawn his own corpses/minions then he's toast.

2) And this is the really big one, can you imagine the AI these things would have to have? To be intelligent enough to master even basic builds like a sorc, where the plan is "fire spell x (fireball/lightning/orb, etc) at enemy, repeat" would be quite a bit of work to stop your fire sorc twin not doing something stupid like using firewall or telekinesis!

And lastly this type of thing is already in the game. It's called dueling.

Just give your mirror image a constant namelock on you and have it cast any spell or attack that you do in return. Although, a WW barb would be very interesting if it constantly namelock WW'ed at you.
