Time for my first update of the tourney....i recon.

Cosi began his journey unsure about his future. So I decided to see how everything would pan out. I gathered an early gang of companions consisting of one spirit wolf, an oak sage and a poison creeper. After my small army was established I decided to begin investing some skills into the elemental skill tree. I pumped a few points into Molten Boulder to boost my damage output and provide some knock back safety. It turns out it was much more than that….. in fact what I discovered was Molten Boulder is a killing machine. Its a fiery ball of death, that destroys everything in its wake….its beautiful. Not only that buts its incredibly fun to watch…..especially when you watch one boulder roll towards Rakanishu's mob and they all get annhilated :grin:.
I decided to dump alot of points into Molten Boulder after my little discovery and it now looks like Cosi’s future is much more clearer to him.

Act 1 held no threats or any problems really. My tank so far has just been a measly level 1 spirit wolf, boosted with a level 1 Oak Sage. Nothing greater was needed as nothing stood long enough to harm the wolf. Paige the fire rogue assisted me but the power of the Boulder clouded all her efforts. Molten Boulder is just carving everything that stands in its way and I am beginning to harness its true powers. Sometimes I would deliberately cast boulders towards solid objects to spark an early explosion or get a perfectly lined up boulder to increase its effectiveness and efficiency. It really is a fun spell to use.

The road to Andarial was quite uneventful, not much happened. However just before I stopped my session at the Inner Cloister waypoint a glimpse of green got me excited. YAY!!! my first set item (deaths hand), nice... that will come in handy against Andy :thumbsup:. From their we surged forward bowling our way through packs of monsters until we finally came face to face with Andy. We rolled her a present and she was quite stunned when it exploded in her face. Easy fight and her drop contained no greens :sad:. Aw well….bring on Act 2.

another question to reroll grand charms its 3pgems + charm right? could any1 pls share with me the rerolling recipe for small and large charms and also jewels, Thanks, I've looked all other the net with no joy

Thanks, is it worth keeping my low ilevel jewels? or when i eventually reroll them will they increase their ilevel corresponding with my clevel?

no, but you should reroll them for Envy Jewels (+20 Poison damage over 2 seconds). They don't have a character level requirement so they are quite nice for putting 6 of them into a military pick for your lower level starts.

And it's a slow start for Futility. She's running around with a Bardiche, which is hilarious to me, and surprisingly efficient. It'd be faster if I had some sort of direct attack skill, but once I get enchant at level 18, things should go faster...

Mephy was kind enough to drop this, then while clearing the rest of his chambers this dropped (another cathan's seal). Izzy decided to get in the game with this drop. I found this on my way down to kill Nihlathak, and my final green item came from Baal. That makes 10 total for normal, though I'm only equipping 9 (8 on me and 1 on merc) due to the two handed Cathan's battle staff. Only two weapons so far but I think it's time to change to an a3 merc now that I'm in nm so that I don't have to have a weaponless merc until I get to hell if I find another weapon soon.

Rebel hasn't been slowed much, she's even been able to kill some stuff even at p8 with her milabrega's rod. Mephy was played at p3, so was Izzy and Diablo. Baal was fought at p8, I forgot to change setting. He went down faster than diablo though because I had a better valk by the time I fought him. I did full clearouts all the way through normal.

40 waypoints = 40
27 quests completed = 54
9 set items equipped = 27
Level 48 = -48
Total = 73

Nightmare Rogue Camp, Lev. 48, 73 points

@Ikeren, I hope you no what you are doing , because as far as i know there are no set javalins, so lightning fury and all the other javalin/spear skills look pretty useless. That is of course if you find 3 set weapons .

I wanted to built a Lightning Fury Amazon. I don't play Hardcore much, so I'll probably only make it to Nightmare if that, so I'm generally not too concerned. The character is softcore, and I'll be removing her once I die (as per tourney rules) and then playing her like the normal character I intended.

I don't think that you understand, you'll have nothing to throw because there are no set javelins. Remember you can only equip set items.

I think he knows that, and is just banking on chances that he dies before he can find 3 set weapons (which will force him to stop using javelins), so he can play normally after that. If he doesn't die before that, well... I'd bet he wouldn't last much longer after that point without his skills anyways. >_>;

Precisely. You can equip white/grey items until you find your 3rd set weapon (I'm still using my beginning Javelin stack for cheap repairs, amusingly enough).

Although I am powering up Charged Strike (As a Synnergy, and because it's good for bosses) and that can be used with spear class weapons, on the off chance I get a Hwanin's.

A small update: I finished Act 1, and did Radaments Quest in act 2. I managed to Gamble Arctic Furs on my ~120th gamble, which pleased me immensly. Now I'm working on my belt, and about 20 gambles in. That with the Cleglaw's shield I found earlier puts me to two set items in act 1 (none in act two yet, but I'm only at the start). All players 8, all full clears, put me to level 21 thus far.

I did have one minor near death experience with the Cold Enchanted Lightning Ball Shooter in Jails 2 that I usually avoid...pitspawn Fouldog? Ran out of potions, and ended up running for my life, hopped into a town portal, replaced the bar, used a full bar of healing potions a second time...had to retreat once more. It was bad stuff, but I brought him down finally. Andarial didn't drop anything of value (Skull, 2 Rare Vogues, 1 Rare something useless, and a couple chippies)

11 waypoints = 11 points
7 quests = 14 points.
2 set items = 6 points
21 levels = -21 points

Total: 10 points

Unfortunately Hwanin's is a polearm and can't be used for CS. Still, it would be great to find; it's the only green weapon legal for an Act 2 merc.

That's it, my first SP tournament :)

I chose a Druid, since there's not so many of them here.
I'm still not sure about the build, probably wind or fire with a bit of summon. I could even make a bear with fire skills, who knows.

Anyway, meet NaturalKingCole, the organic druid ;)

After i read through the old post in the last Green with Envy tournament, i went ahead and started wroting up my progress. I got inspired by what you wrote and basically just copied it because i couldn't put it in any better terms my self :tongue:.

Mind you i didn't steal your bowler idea, it came to me purely by accident, but it is quite ironic that your druid in the last tourney was a bowler. Lets hope mine is just as good as yours was.

So far I have been saving all my runes and have a mule full of them, is there anything i can really do with them in this tourney or should i just mule them to another char?

Ok, I'm back with another necro, let's hope this one lasts longer.

Es Mors, Prisikelk, Necro, Lut Gholein, lvl 16, 8 points

TOTAL = 8 points

Finished act 1 without finding any greens, however I found a grey wand with +3 skeleton mastery and +1 corpse explosion which has worked wonders. I currently have 50 unused stat points. Gotta love the skeleton build :grin:

At the end of my first session with my druid, I managed to clear Cold Plains cave included, kill Blood Raven and get my fire rogue Aliza, and then finally clear Mausoleum and Crypt.

I should have left Cold Crow alive, I know... but I was too lazy :)

Anyway, no greens so far despite my intense gambling sessions at Gheed's.

2 Waypoints = 2 points
2 Quests = 4 points
0 Set items = 0 points
12 levels = -12 points
TOTAL = 6 points
