Green Sacred Armor has landed

So the other day on the way to Baal , Mr Lister dropped a Set Sacred Armor . Hence I'm making an IK WW barb . Whats the consensus for meeting the 232 strength ? Im at 185 strength now at level 41 with the gloves and belt on . Should I stop there and charm it up , Hel rune , or just go 10 more levels of strength and get the 232 naturally then the rest of my levels in vitality . Going pure strength I'm curious what kind of life I'll end up after maxxing Bo and whether or not my Ar will be pathetically low . I think I have my dex at about 50 and dont want to put more points there either . What ya'll think ??
 
i would definitly hel the armor and put on str charms

232 strength is way to high ur gona end up with jus over 2k life

no need for more dex either go with 2 angelic rings and a ammy or switch one ring for ravens

Anyone know if that bug still exists where if ya use a dex or strength charm the items cannot be seen ? I hate this BUG and would just as soon meet the reqs if its still there .. Also my math was a bit off - I think I only need 187 base with the +45 from the belt and gloves to reach 232 . So that would mean 8 more levels then all vit for 27 levels (76) plus whatever else I gain . Then I could load up on max lifers ???

The bug is still around, though you can see your equipment still.
 
Stepped into act 3 Nm tonight at level 50 with 232 strength with the gloves and the belt on . Got me a Ravenfrost (thanks Xey) and Ar is good now . All the rest going into Vitality from here on out . I have level 22 Bo and my life total after that is right at 1180 . Now this is with some pathetic charms too and only (2) +1 war cry's on swap . I only have a grand 26 lifer and a couple 15 large lifers . Im thinking Ill be just fine with 30 levels of vitality and should be able to hit 3.5 K life or so .. Getting fun now - cant wait for the full set ..

Err must have confused ya - I have the belt , gloves , boots , and hat on now ! Need level 76 for the armor and the maul .

hmm you should try and let items compansate for ur strenght, if u havwe not socketed ur helm it would be a good ideas to use fal runes to increase ur strenght, u can also use strenght charms or if u have an amu or ring that pack alot of strenght will help.

But dont keep taxing all of ur points into strenght or dex add to viatality or ur barb will not have good hp
 
Well it seems I'll have a bit of time to rethink my build as I died tonight at level 64 . I had 187 base strength my life was a tad over 2k - 2086 to be exact . Not to bad for Pvm considering I have at least 20 more levels to pump vitality . And I did find a nice rare ring that adds 12 to strength , 6 mana leech / 24 LR / some other mods I cant remember .


Ohhh and the only thing I can ever justify putting in IK hat sockets is P topazes !!!
 
And so tonight I got cocky and decided to leap attack in the Chaos Sanctuary and guess what happened ? Anyone ?? ANYONE ??? Yes that right - IM'ed in mid leap and DEEDS again at level 46 !! This is about to piss me off now and I didnt know the mages can cast IM on you in mid leap !! Thats just incredible BS if ya ask me .. Ok Im dont ranting and once again I step into act 1 to help the sisters clear the way to Lut Goleim ...
 
Wow, how sucky is that. Just wondering, couldn't you have exited the game before you landed? Or did you died before you realized you were IM'd?

leap is slow you crazy person, I've died in midleap plenty of times (in classic and .08)

I leap - I hear IM - I landed - IM DEAD !!!!! I dont know why I even attempted a leap in there anyways . I just leveled up and got berserk and would have been fine if Id not attempted the leap !!! gahhhhhhhhhh !!!

Alas Ofc_Conan has donned the almighty Ik Garb and is having fun running Hell Baals and anywhere else Iv'e gone .. Id forgotton how incredibly nice this set actually is . WW is a blast when ya hear everything popping as I mow em down . I went ahead and went 187 base strength cause I hate charming to required strength . I have max resists , 3500 life , and Iv'e maxxed all my main skills . My Zerk ar is almost 8k . WW ar is almost 7k . The damage is close to 6k and with level 26 shout Im getting 13k defense ..

I decided to use a 40 ed / 18 % extra gold jool in my armor . And it only gave me like 135 extra damage . As I have socketed the hat with P Topaz and the boots give 25 % mf that puts me at 108 Mf . Im thinking about destroying the jool and going with a P Topaz for some more mf ..

All in all Im happy with the IK Barb and Im at level 81 . I just dropped one point into Find Items and I guess I'll get one into Battle Cry for bosses even though I dont really need it . Realistically only get 9 - 10 more levels so not sure where I'll put the rest of my points yet .
 
Both times I've made IK Barbs on hardcore I dumped enough into str to wear the armor without charms or a Hel rune. It doesn't make any sense to use charms to get the str since a perfect +5 str large charm (which saves 5 points for vit = 20 life) could easily be replaced with 30 life in charms and up to 40 life with secondary mods.

My helm and armor both got Topazes because he was intended to MF stuff like Eldritch/Shenk, Council, and Pits. My first build had like 4.3k life and 14k defense because I started dumping the rest of my points into Iron Skin (wasn't impressed with the result). The second one was considering throwing points into Howl before he died to those bugged Poison Vipers. Packs of phys immune mana burn ghosts are pretty common and cannot be delt with by simply running up to them and Berserking away. No shield + zero defense (from zerk) is not very efficient. I found that Howl, besides being a synergy for Berserk, helps spread out the ghosts so you can pick them off one at a time.

Excellent idea , I havent had any problem zerking ghost yet . Of course I havent seen that pi / stone skin / Le / fanat /mana burner one yet either ...
