I was thinking of this contest.
Here's the character I would make:
Hephaestus (Patron God of Blacksmiths)
Class: Paladin
Skills: Holy Fire, Resist Fire, Zeal.
Equipment: Heavy Armor. NO FAST RUN WALK. Hammers only as a weapon choice (No flails, Maces, Mauls, whatever).
Holy Fire naturally because he is a smith. Zeal to imitate the Hammering action of pounding out a weapon/armor, and resist fire because as a god of smithing, obviously fire doesn't bother the god much.
Heavy Armor for two reasons: 1) He was the smith of the gods, and thus is probably going to wear the very best defence armor that he can create. 2) He was a lame god, and this will slow him down, as no faster run/walk would be allowed, as well as no points in the fast r/w aura (name escapes me at the moment).
Also, as soon as possible, all equipment will be CRAFTED, to show off his smithing prowess as well as to stay in character.
But Heph is probably taken.

Heracles (sometimes: Hercules) actually was a god. He was granted god-hood upon his death.

Quick update on my progress, Hephaestus the fire elemental druid has reached lvl 22 and has just recovered his Horadric cube, all done on players 8, and so far haven't really had that much trouble.
In relations to finds i've found 3 Cleglaw's claws, Artic Furs, and The Dragon Chang.
So am doing quite nicely at the moment. How is everyone else doing??

Just because I'm an anal-retentive Norse fanatic...:teeth:
Odin was also the god of war, death, and poetry. A barb would have fit quite well, some sort of spear throwing singing barb.
Thor's trademark was his ridiculous strength, and minimal intellect. A maul wielding titan barb would have been probably a better pick.
I'd have said a barb, but he'd be resricted to one handed swords and no shield/off-hand weapon, as Tyr had only one hand. And just a little history note, Odin was the leader of the Aesir.
Well, a sword wielding druid would be possible. Freyr wielded a special sword that could "would by itself emerge from its sheath and spread a field with carnage whenever the owner desired it". He was also the god of the sun and rain, so maybe hurricane, or artic blast (his wife was a frost giant).

So far i got Artemis to lvl 19 and to Cata lvl2 wp. i am preoccupied tonight but i hope can get more in tomorrow. also i know we cant twink, but can we atma stuff we find off but not back on?

Well, Zibelthiurdos started very early this morning (i couldn't sleep anymore ^^) and by now is lvl 20.
It takes a bit getting used to playing untwinked again but up to now it's big fun again
Besides that i just found the first uniq with him. a 28% nagel from Radament :clap: And that is where he stands now, ready to venture into the desert

Orion now lurks at Canyon of magi wp, at lvl 25 or 24 , i dont remember. I hired offensive merc , because i WILL have problems with ar , so i decided to hire it as early as i can. Also i found 2 isenhart's helms , and crushflange. Too bad i can't use it , because it would break Orion "philosophy" (sp?)
