Gonna pvp.. should I dual wield or use 1h axe/shield?

I know this question has been asked before and I am going to get different responses but... can someone who has tried both builds tell me which they prefered and why? And if I were to go with dual axes how much dex what I need assuming I dont use angelic rings and amulet.

It depends on who you plan to fight. If you're going to fight casters, dual axes. If you're going to fight other barbs, axe/shield. If you want to fight everyone, you'll need both, though you won't be as effective against everyone as you would be if you just focused on one opponent class.

The rule for dex is you either get enough to equip your weapon, or enough for max block. So, if you go dual axes, you just need enough to equip the weapon.

hal is right. it depends on what you want to do. if you plan on fighting any class but barbs 2 weps is vastly superior. otherwise keep a stormshield in your trunk.

If your going strictly casters duel weild no doubt.....

If your going strictly melee using a sheild is no option.......

If your an all-around barb its up to your personal prefrence. Halciet really likes using a sheild because it negates 75% of all melee attacks against your character. However if your just going against sorcs/trapsins thats not going to help you so much. Personally i decided to duel weild. Because of the mechanics of WW even in melee its VERY hard to be hit while wwing. All you have to do is be smart and do short wirls. the only problem you'll have is agains other WWing barbs.....everyone else is a piece of cake (except smiters but a sheild wouldnt help you against them so i didnt include that)...
