Gone septic (planning/progress)

Had time to do 15 Baal runs today (NM P1) and found more goodies then I counted on, most notable a few pieces of Hwanins set (Bill and armor), a lidless wall (nice for my sorc) and a raven frost... So, that could mean the end of Rhyme and hello other shield options.
Still no upgrade on the armor, that's a pitty.

Your idea of shield swapping with it sounds like a great potential upgrade aswell. Lidless wall for +1 skills or a 3xpDiamond shield for massive resists are two cheap ideas that come to mind.

And I have a Moser's too. With the base res and two Pdiamond or runes to cover holes that sounds like a good option too... at least until I find a monarch shield for Spirit

Otrera (the lightening zon) is doing nice in act I hell after a week of casual Baal farming. Found some cool items but mainly the Natalya boots and raven frost ring made the biggest difference. I put one pDiamand in it so res is halfway through almost full. Fire is around 30 and poison is almost maxed. So I need some more but will wait and see what I get.

Plan with her is to do countess runs for now. I have a shitty layout for the first one so I’ll do another 5 Baal runs on NM and reset map hoping for the tower close to the WP.

The pally has the MF gear on and he’s on his way to NM mephisto. There I will park him for now and make sure I get a good map.

Basically my days will be doing sets of 3 runs with pally and zon and getting the sorceress ready for NM. I made lists with runewords I need so farming runs is now a priority. As soon as I get decent upgrades I will take pally to Baal and see how Otrera does further in hell. Might stop at Andy on the way first. But hell countess will be a long pause on the way. I really need those good runewords :)
 
Hmm... what good is a planning and progress thread when you don't use it?

I am going to be short on the zon, she running LK at the moment, and the Blizzballsorc (who is at the end of act II in nightmare) and would love to get some advice on my holly freeze Zealer. To be honost, part of my problems where solved yesterday when I found a nature's Peace on my 3rd LK run of the day. It made the Tombs in act II Hell waaaaaaay easier.

My skillpoints are pretty straightforward: 20 in holy freeze, resist cold, salvation and zeal and a couple in holy shield. Gear and charms are added as spoiler. I removed some of the clutter in the stash or cube. Mainhand is Voice of reason with a Herald of Zakarum with pDiamond. Offhand is Black with Spirit. Black is my solution for iceImmu/physicalImm and it works rather nicely

My 2 questions at this point are:
1. should I lose the strings and choose for a belt with FHR. I am at the 48 breakpoint now how much should I invest in getting to the 86 breakpoint. I was thinking of giving him Chains of Honor at some point, but I like Treachery a lot.

2. What gear should I use on my act I fire arrow merc? I am planning to give her a faith bow eventually, but don't know if I should prioritize it over Enigma for instance. At this point I quite like playing this team and would like to see if they could be the first ones from my sept to reach Patriarch status.

Actually I was going to wait until I got a set of Titans, but then Anya gave me 40 ias javs with +2 javs skills so I just tried how far those would get me... and well, that seemed to be all the way.

Still going to be looking for her other end game pieces and take her to higher levels when doing so. Probably will keep doing Baal runs for now... might even get lucky and find something usefull

I am playing an untwinked Paladin right now, and found the kill speed as a Frost Zealot too slow and ended up respeccing to a Fanaticism Zealot. The Holy Freeze route is supposed to be safer, but I was coming too close to death with slow kill speed and less leech.

What did you end up using as your endgame weapon? I've never felt like Voice of Reason did enough damage to try using it, but maybe with all the procs it could work. Definitely a nice fit with the Frost Zealot theme.

I had the exact same problem with the frost Zealot. Kill speed was way too slow and especially when I reached hell it was, well hell. Normal and NM I did with one of the unique scepters. But I got stuck at Act II. To many summons and summoners.

Luckily I didn’t plan this as an untwinked sept so when my Amazon found a Natures peace I put that on, and that got me on my way again. Next upgrade was the voice of reason. That got me to Act V. It was a lot of fun to play but the cold immune areas in Act V were undoable. So then I made a grief. And we’ll, that made everything as easy as possible. I never would have dreamed that word to be that powerful, but it is.

My planned way to go was to reach max CB, but I never did get that Guillermo dudes helmet (still don’t have it) so I needed to adjust my goals.
 
Ah, yes--I am only untwinked as this is my first character back after an eight-year hiatus! Grief is one of the more OP things in the game, that's to be sure. Back in the day, I made a Fanazealot with 100% CB and 100% DS with maxed-out zeal with a massive ethereal Death Colossus sword, and I'm still not sure that thing outperformed Grief in a PB. I'll probably end up using Oath or respeccing to Holy Shock and using Crescent Moon.

I respected the Pally after he became Pat to a Fanazealer with grief and he works just fine.

He did his run with an act I merc which I hoped to give a faith now, but I never got close to those runes. He can MF hell andy easy but this is not my favorite build.

Hopefully I have time to update the thread some more. Make the Pally post final and do the sorc and barb that I am running now justice
