i know exactly how he feels, my entire acct on US west has been stripped about 2 months ago, and i havent gone back, and in my case just as well, legit play, i dont pick on people and no trojans on 3rd party programs.. just logged in one day and everything gone. wish you all the best though
You know, as long as places like [highlight]beep[/highlight] is handing out hacks and explicit instuctions like Pez Candy (mmm... PEZ) no one is ever going to be safe. East, West... it won't matter.
If you play on bnet, you are exposed to this hacking. Blizzard won't do a damn thing, petition or not, because D2 is done for them. WoW is their baby now. I would be very suprised if they decided to do anything more with D2.
IMO 1.11 is the last upgrade and no other cd keys will be suspended for maphack, gate keeper, or you name it....
Its a damn shame too. bnet tells me that there are roughly 40,000 players in 20,000 games playing LoD every time I log in. 40 THOUSAND. Ok, out of the 2 billion in the world, its a drop in the bucket... but it sure sounds to me like a 6 year old game is still popular.

Just as a warning, WoW forums have a lot of keylogger links being posted, it's quite possible that there's been some links posted on forums such as this one that have the same effect.
You click it, page has the error-cannot be displayed (like it doesn't exist) and voila, keylogged. So if you've ever clicked a link that was made by someone you don't know regarding a ''sweet item'' or ''ownage pvp'' etc. and it didn't load, you might already be screwed.
Not saying that's the case, but you don't have to be a MH user, a botter or anything to get trapped, just takes some creative wording a link and a click.

well this is old game, and its ridicilous easy to hack older games.
I feel bad that legit players get hacked, or cheating programs exits, but what you can do about it?
If this game would be this years game, and blizzard would have much more workers on the case, this would be cheatless, or harder to hack.

Meh, I take into account third world countries that don't have great census sytems, and thus don't report accurately on their population. Still, might be a bit lower than 8 billion...thanks for the correction. :thumbsup:
