So aside from this inquiry...
Gloams and the like scare me. Everytime my zon takes STREAMS of static through her body it makes me tap my rejuvs til i'm out. I can't remember if it was the flayer dungeons or the chest one by the flayer wp but ouch...
similar episode happened in plains of despair (NOT a fun one to have gloams in when you can't find izzy anywhere) and frozen river (at least i know how to get to anya) where there were a lot of walls to hide from thankfully.
A few good items found. Nightsmoke, infernostride, +4str 28res all amy, and
this LOL. would definately help but where am I going to get 110 str? :laugh:
I am careful to stay well far from dolls (i've encountered a lot) but I've not had one blow up anywhere near me. finding khalim's heart (the sewer piece) was just a few steps away from where i entered luckily.
saving the best for last.
So I knew Diablo has this trick up his sleeve against rangers. He casts bone prison on you. Yes. I found this out in Normal difficulty, and casted on me 3 or 4 times when my valk would die too fast (most of the time instant) from anything diablo threw at her. But, the prisons didn't have too much hp on them at p8 so I shrugged it off.
Nightmare. p8. Totally forgot about it. Valk is down, and I attempt to GA him until my peace proc goes off with a beautiful valk. BONE DEATH GRIP PRISON. I'm shooting my GAs on them. Not going down. Diablo casts electric fire. Slam my rejuvs in slot 1. I cast a valk (lvl 3) and proceed to shoot this prison... nope. Diablo kills valk immediately and casts electric fire again. rejuvs slot 2 all used. Diablo runs up to my face. That's when I freaked. I town portaled. At first thinking this probably won't work, cuz you know, you're in a prison, and this portal is not IN the prison. But you try s*** in desperation. And it worked. Apparently Diablo physics says that as long as you're near a portal, you can enter it :smiley:
Upon reentering I decided that I would always have a valk up (15 or 3) and when it was not up I would run away, waiting for 6 sec delay. I planned a stash of mana pots at one of the wings so I wouldn't have to tp out as much (cuz you know, diablo also casts bone prisons on portals) o.o;;
upon d's death he gives me bartuc's... (wrong class item D: ) which will go good for my ma sin
status: max res acheived (85 fr woot), no mana leech for me, no life leech for merc, around 350hp (ugh), still wearing blue rings... (both are 25/26 light res)
