How does everyone make the + to your skill trees GC? What is the required clv for doing it? Is there anything else that goes along with trying to get the gc's? Thankx in advance for you help :clap:

You make skillers by cubing them with 3 pgems. Late nightmare act 3 is where the correct ilv GC start dropping. The Flayer jungle if I remember correctly.

its actually the NM great marsh, but who goes there these days anyway :)

EDIT: response to author: Any gc found in NM great marsh or later can spawn with a skiller prefix. This means that any GC found in these areas have high enough ilvl to get this prefix. This is all that matters; as long as the ilvl of the item is high enough to have an affix, it doesnt matter who rerolls the charm, it still has a chance to get that affix. This is in reference to the "3 pgems + magic item => new magic item of same type and ilvl" recipe
 
Amazing how so few people ever do this on Bnet it seems. I can spend hours combing empty pubby cow games and come out with dozens upon dozens of flawless gems for upgrading and rerolling. No one seems to bother, but I average 1 skiller per ~30 pgems. A lot of the time its not worth the rune value of the pgems, but every so often you get lucky and roll that coveted Cold Skiller with 30+ life and make a killing. Not to mention the steady supply of them makes it fairly easy to outfit any character you have with a few of these with a little notice. At any given point in time I have about half a dozen spare skillers laying around on mules that I'm trying to trade (atm I believe the count is one Def. Pally Skiller--yes, I know it's junk--, 2 Shapeshifting Skillers, 2 Druid Elementals, and a Necro Curses GC). Easy way to add to your rune collection, and since I'm a gambler by nature, its fun too.

I only reroll charms from Hell Cows or WSK, but that's probably outta habit more than anything else. By the way, don't discount the AR/Life GCs either--I've made a pretty penny trading half a dozen of those recently (between 90 AR and 130 and 25 and 40 life tend to be the range people are interested in, or alternatively the 12% FHR/100+ AR GCs are nice too).

Nice SCs are good to reroll as well (ideally from Baal, but I find that WSK and Hell Cows SCs work just fine too) and every so often I not only get myself a 7% mfsc, but something like the 6% mf, 35 ar sc that I rolled last week, or the 3/17/19er.

Yeah, I hope I can trade my def. aura, 27 life charm, or my curses with 13 life charm, or my plain curses charm.

I'm interested in those elementals though.
 
I am intrestred in the + to cold skills + to traps and the + to fire skills. So far I have gotten + to Shadow, + to curses and + to pally defense I think it was, oh and a + to barb combat masteries. Maybe someday I can get the + to cold heheh. I know this is completly random when doing the re-rolls, but does it seem like that if you use 2 different gems that they tend to make a better charm? Or am I hittin the ole bong to heavy?

For instance, all the time I used 3 gems or skulls that were all alike, seemed cradppy charm came out even worse. But when I used 3 gems that were all different, even though they didnt come out as skillers, the were of a better value thant the crap charm I had before.

I have been doing the High Council with my Barb on Hell, seems there is quite a few flawless gems that drop out of there, decent runes that I can cube up, nuthin spectacuilar though, then slide on over an spank ole Mephy a few times. Drops some decent rares that you can also trade for p-gems or runes. To me, this is much more fun than say, Baal...reload....baal....reload...baal...reload...good god that gets old. :xmad:

Gems used won't matter. If it's perfect gem then that's all it is for this recipe. But oh boy have you had bad luck cubing skillers; curses, pally def and barb masteries which are all pretty much the least wanted skillers.
 
Time to tell twin tales of terrible transmuting tragedies:

1) I've probably rolled and found at least 70 different skillers this season, and not one has been a Paladin Combat Skiller.

2) And now that I've moved away from rolling Act 2 NM GCs, I've blown over 500 pgems (approximately 2 Ists worth) trying to roll one Hell Baal GC into something useful. Not one good roll (got a plain java GC but kept rolling).

Methinks it's time to find another moneysink . . .
