No, that trick no longer works.

I will go home and do just that...and then what ? apologies all around? Yha right...Won't someone then just accuse me of creating the logs or something else? Christ I don't even use hot keys, I just like playing the game. hacking, cheating sorry no time for that. I have twin 14 month old boys I am lucky to get 90 minutes a night play time.
I am saddened by all of this, I wish I had not posted. I am guilty I suppose of boasting the stats on some items. Since thay gambling session I have tried several more times and only a rare item or two with several million spent.
Being lucky never felt so shi@@y.
Enough of this though, please just give me a chance to get home and post the "Proof" before posting anymore hurtful comments.
After that I will consider this a lesson in the nature of people.
That doesn't matter, the point is that the minimum Ilvl for Griffon's Eye is 84, which he can't possibly reach as a Clvl 74 character. So that would mean he's running a mod that he may not know about. A re-install would help, after uninstalling and emptying the Diablo II folder, keep the save folder intact if you want to keep your characters.Vang said:I thought Diadem's were upgraded from coronets, thus could be gambled earlier that there qlvl, do to the fact the game does its upgrade. That would also result in the fact that once it was upgraded, the Diadem could possibly result in a unique item. On a sidenote, the gentlemen didn't even stat the lightning mods, which is the most important mods(as they vary) on the Griffon's, take thats for whats it worth.
Frankly, I have never been so fortunate to gamble something that amazing. I usually gamble amulets and rings, and the best I ever got were Nagelrings and Manald Heal rings or Mahim Oak Curio amulets. From what I understand of gambling, any unique items generated is entirely random; MF has nothing to do with it. The game decides to give you a unique based on the very small odds, and that unique is entirely random. Now, the question is, can omegamann gamble for a qlvl 84 Griffon's with a clvl 74 char?Bloodfire said:Gambling uniques really isn't as impossible as some posters are saying. Because something is "random" it will invariably happen to one people more than it happens to another...
Certain items have a high quality level associated to them, when this occurs it is possible to attain higher level affixes. An example of this is the Diadem with a quality level of 85. In this case, you can receive higher level affixes even if you are at a low character level.
Circlets have a special magic ability which allows players to receive a higher level magical Prefixes and Suffixes on Monster Drops and when Gambling on Circlets. This bonus only applies to the bonuses that appear on Circlets themselves. This does not help generate better Magic Prefixes and Suffixes on other items. So when you receive a Circlet via Gambling or a Monster drop the Magic Level helps increase the chances that a better Magic Prefix or Suffix will appear on it.
Which proves that it is not impossible to gamble for the really uber stuff. It is just down to luck. What we really need to know here is this; is it possible to gamble for a Griffon's at clvl 74?FlimFlan said:I gambled a Stormlash...
