Frenzy and Berserk points

I just noticed this as I'm completely new to considering anything other than ww or zerk in the barbs I've made on diablo(3...)

Frenzy gains magic damage(1% per slvl) when you put points in zerk. So at the very least, maxing with no plus gear gives 20% magic damage to your attacks.
They both have a synergy in shout I think and so the next question is:
Why do I never see a zerk-frenzy hybrid?

What am I missing?

possibly it the hybrid is not popular because of different equipment and playing styles. Ex. With beserk, you need a shield and 75% block because you have no def whatsoever. with Frenzy you need 2 weapons, which leaves no room for a shield.
and maxing beserk as a synergy takes too many pts for so little return (the 20% is like regular ed - say you had a 100-300 dam weapon, with the synergy maxed you would get +20-60 magic damage, which you could easily get in ele damage from a charm)

20 frenzy + 20 mastery often gives sufficient physical damage for hell

in hell the real damage dealer is crushing blow + deadly/critical strike, not just raw physical damage in your character screen

if you really want a frenzy synergy invest some points in double swing as you often have to use double swing itself against big packs of low hitpoint monsters where frenzy simply performs too slowly

if you want a solution for physical immunes

1) dual gimmershreds
2) atma's ammy
3) reaper's toll on merc

i completely ignore berserk on frenzy barbs

edit: points in berserk don't add damage, for every point in berserk 1% of your damage done by Frenzy becomes magic damage.

Ya I know Bert, it just seemed cooler on paper.

I'm frenzying with dual bstars right now and most things don't last more than 2 hits on nightmare.

Actually, it kinda sucks because I constantly think I'm lagging or my mouse sucks then I realize that they're already dead and I'm clicking on empty space.

SO far, maxed bo, shout, 1 in leap attack and leap, maxed frenzy, maxing mace mastery, by the time I'm late 80s that will be maxed and hopefully I'll have stormlash aswell.

Should I try so hard to get stormlashes or should I just go rune-hunting and make a mace runeword?
