Forum Mafia - The Dark Tower Game Thread

How does a bomb work if its mafia aligned? How does a bomb work in a lynch situation? Also, I didn't think Roland would be a playable role, what would happen if Roland dies?

You can explain yourself in some way without claiming what's effectively the main character of this story. And especially not that fast. Maybe if I saw some votes coming in already I'd go all the way and claim, but I just don't see it otherwise. That, plus jcakes and bpc, along with the inclination I already towards thinking bpc is town since I'm pretty sure his QT question yesterday was a trick to get a newbieto reveal themselves as mafia by knowing more than they should otherwise.

Vote count as of Post #807

Goryani (13) : Sathoris, djmbbandie, Jcakes, Phillinnicus, Caluin Graye, Flubbucket, Gwaihir, Noammr, BipolarChemist, [highlight]Pharphis[/highlight], Coju, TheMouseT, Numbers
Coju (0) : [strike]Pharphis[/strike]
Pharphis (1) : [strike]Coju[/strike]
Jcakes (1) : Goryani

Highlighted vote is the locking vote. This is important for the mechanics of the locked player.

I'm done with this game. Sorry to all the whites. A group that lost day talk now uses the game thread to send encrypted messages to each other and that seems to be ok. That is not ok for me. I'll post a role claim later since I need to check her name. I think it was Marion or so. She's the daughter of some Moses guy and runs some company that protects a rose. Her character had a 3 line entry in the wikia, so I don't know more. Vanilla townie.

Not needed I guess, but anyway.

Well, if I die I've lain out my scum list for everyone to consider.

Since it should be extremely obvious to mafia by now...

I'm Roland Deschain, as seen in my VERY first post. (mason recruiter, rolo)
~every other post is by me, so you should have plenty to go off of. I still find coju very suspicious. His "obviously you're townie" post directed at me is only the most recent example. I still could have been neutral, after all. He knows more than others. I'm not going to say whether I've had enough time to recruit my entire team.

I don't believe kegs was targeted last night. He had a passive ability that he would sacrifice himself for me if I were targeted. THIS is the reason I think Laarz is innocent. If he jailkept Kegs then I think this is the one case I can imagine other than being roleblocked that a jailing effect wouldn't work. This also fits in a little with being unpredictable and so goes along with Drixx's comment on the story.
The party host effect came from me. It was a 1x watching ability that would work on anyone in my mason group dying. Good timing, right?
I want to emphasize that I don't KNOW that Laarz is innocent, but claiming a failed jailkeeper action is ballsy and potentially explainable given my info.

@Moar,
I know you're not really into the game for whatever reason but I'm surprised you were pushed over the edge by the encryption post. There was a single post that was used for day talk, and Drixx later said he wouldn't allow it. So it's not "ok, apparently"

I know I've been asking tons and tons of random questions but I want Sath to explain what he said earlier about me having to go tomorrow. He's ignoring nearly all questions directed at him this game and he jumped on the Gory vote pretty quickly (bus).

Also, I think my death is probably very important to the story.

DAMNIT.

The mafia bonus was no doubt the locking vote mechanic. Maybe I'll luck out and won't be killed but it seems unlikely at this point.

Gory. Tell me, did you team suspect I was Roland before today?

Why claim right now pharphis? Yours feel infinitely stronger than goes, but I'm not sure I get why?
Because I'm convinced the locking mechanic will involve me dying, and as I said the mafia have to know I'm Roland by now. I wanted to get out some info I had since I couldn't share it with my mason crew.

It's possible the lock will involve me dying INSTEAD of Gory. Players need to look at the ordering of locking and take note of people trying to avoid the lock. (ie Sath).

I would also look at dj and flubb

You think they are going to get away with circumventing the rules? You should think again. It's not okay. I already chided them for it in this thread and they have a penalty coming from it.

I'm seeing this moment as a crucial tipping point. As much as I HATE role claiming, I'm Stanley "Sheemie" Ruiz. I have the ability each night to investigate someone's alignment. My results are as follows: Night One - Bad Ash - Well he's all dead and junk so moot point. Night Two - Gwaihir - The Red. Night Three - Caluin Graye - The Red. With the good luck I've had I feel great coming forward now even if I get whacked.

We're receiving a penalty? I figured a warning should be enough for something we weren't aware was against the rules.
Colour me cheesed off, but we had a player who PMed another player earlier this game and they got off with just a penalty for breaking what is essentially rule #1 of all mafia games. Yes I remember that they're new and you're also a new mod but the comparison is clear.

Perhaps I'm wrong and overreacting but can you show us where this was in the rules? You didn't say anything in our QT, either, about the original encryption idea being used as proof, so I fail to see where we have any indication that using encryption is wrong.
