Absolutely humiliated that both sides of the game seem to want to just give up and be done with it than press on.
I feel like I owe you an apology, so I'm going to break character for this post.
I hurt your feelings, and for that I am sorry. It was not intentional. I have indeed been, as Noammr succiently put it,
"trolling the town for for three days in a row." Some of the things I say for misdirection and confusion. Some I say to add just a grain of truth to the mix. Some I say just to gauge other people's reactions.
The "Mafia can end it" post has a mix of all three of those reasons.
But in the mean time, there needs to be some compromise. The game is nearing a month old, and that's a long time to be in the same game, and is scheduled to go for
at least another fifteen days. The biggest game I can recall in recent history was the Cheers game with 27 players, and that didn't last a month.
And these coming fifteen days, there's really no discussion to be had. Everything at this point will be decided via night actions. Town has a set lynch order in mind, and assuming Gwaihir was telling the truth and assuming he goes before all remaining mafia and assuming I'll die with the next lynch (which won't happen today, only six votes on me that I counted (I didn't count MouseT's since it came after deadline)), that's another two weeks of nobody really having anything to say in the thread.
I'm not just thinking of those alive, either. There's a dozen people in the dead thread, a couple who've been dead for a very long time, who aren't getting to participate. Games that go a long time are great in theory, but if you've been eliminated, it then becomes that much longer of a wait until you get to play again.
It's... it's kind of like how Breaking Bad Season 5 was just released on Netflix. Yesterday I marathoned it, all eight episodes, in just as many hours. It was great, but now I'm not really interested in watching the next episodes any more. I burnt myself out on it. While I enjoyed the experience of the show, I'm ready to move on. It's a form of war weariness.
I'm all for pressing on, Drixx. But the mafia have been told that for the past four day/night cycles. I imagine the masons probably got something similar. We're just... tired. It's been a fun ride, but at some point the train needs to end so we can look back and reflect upon the fun times.
Once again, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I just thought I should explain where I was coming from.
