morotsjos said:is the attack rating from a weapon with fools mod added to both weapons when dualwielding? only answer if you _know_, i dont need speculations.
what makes you think the ar carries over on sins?SicHalo said:I think it works in the same style of the ww assa as when u add a fools claw on ur primary hand the ar seems to carry over to the secondary weapon.
Anyway i could do some sp testing to be 100%.
how do you know this?sirwhere said:For whirlwind, each weapon will get its separate roll, meaning the fools mod gets to be used as in frenzy: for 1 weap only.
are you sure? any source or link to verification? sorry for being a pain in the *** but i'm unsure of how you are supposed to test this in-game...lagalot said:Its added only to the weapon the mod spawns on.
Ce Olba said:Let me guess:
You're trying to find out if a godly rare + Grief could surpass Grief+Beast in damage. A godly axe can of course do way more damage than Beast, but you're trying to find out if the extra AR you gain will go over to Grief, as if it will, it will most likely be greater than the +ar% gained from Beast. In this case, Grief would have more chance to hit compared to less damage, but the rare could compensate for the lost damage, which in turns would make the rare+Grief superior or equal to Grief+Beast. Whereas if the AR didn't go over, your secondary weapon could deal a lot more damage than it does now
Am I correct?
SicHalo said:I was also thinking on the same lines as this maybe not so deep but i can see the theory behind this.
I did not get round to do much testing however on this but i might try some now..
your idea is certainly interesting though, didn't think that long since i assumed that the ar didn't stack, and even if it did it would take a hell of a rare axe to surpass beast.
Ce Olba said:Well, if the damage you lose from losing the Aura from Beast can be put to the Axe, wouldn't that make it equal in damage over time? But of course we would need something like an ethereal self repair 40% ias 350% ED 40% deadly strike rare or something like that.

btw, because of the critical strike bonus, I'd prefer 2x ohm over 2x Lo.
Just a thought though![]()
Ce Olba said:Mmm. Let's see. You already have about 300% ED on your weapon, might be more, I'm not sure how the rare mods work. When you socket it with 2x Ohms, you get to 400% ED and ethereal. You will be at the same damage as a 400% ED EBotdZ and only 20ish more average damage. Well, let's see. Three setups: 2x ohm, 2x Lo, LoOhm.
Just for the heck of it, I will count it here:
47.5 * 1.5 * 5 + 49.5 * 1.509575 = 612.510056
47.5 * 1.5 * 4 + 49.5 * 1.821576 = 609.317172
47.5 * 1.5 * 4.5 + 49.5 * 1.665575 = 616.470947
So LoOhm would be the best.
Just to compare, I will give you a perfect BeastZ and a perfect GriefZ:
47.5 * 3.85 * 1.509575 = 276.063528
47.5 + 400 * 1.665575 = 745.344812
Oh, but there's 1 factor missing: Off-weapon ED%. As there we will have 40 on Beast's side, however I doubt that little extra turning the tables around. However, 1 thing that is also missing is the ED% from Beast. Once I got some time, I will do a more thorough comparison.
Rares can spawn with max (IIRC) 450% ed which is better than botds ed. Now add 2x sockets, 40ias, fools mod and selfrepair (also one of ed preffixes [knights iirc] spawns with additional ~150 ar). 2x Lo and Im sure it would be hella nice weapon, thing is finding a weapon like that would take ages. But wouldnt another Grief be better for average dmg? T.T
