Final Fantasy Forum Mafia Game Thread

I've got nothing to hide.

We are talking about two different "lynch for information." At least I think so. You didn't define yours other than "opposite."

Analyzing interactions based on a lynch flip (your version, I think) is not the same as wanting to learn more about player A by lynching player B rather than interrogate, vote and/or lynch player A (my version). BA wanted to learn more about BPC and Gwaihir so he voted me (at a time when he, self admittedly, wanted to make sure he didn't have the most votes).

I agree with this and love how you think this is a negative. So someone you think is scummy or in cahoots, related to the fact that you know you (as in me) is town, and on Day 1 people usually vote for the whoever has the most votes, how is this a negative?

How did Gwaihir die? Poison?

Vote: Moar

How has no one mentioned Gwaihir until now? Is a poisoner someone you'd think would be a part of a mafia group or acting alone and why?

I think today is mass claim day. I'd do so, but I've vowed not to claim at all this game, so I'm not going to. If I were, this is when I'd do it.

Vote: Goryani

Third hypocritical post is the charm. Time to go away now scum. I'd also love your definition of rolefishing as well as your definition of scumhunting since I can't tell the difference between your opinion between the two other than, you know, agenda. Also, you refusing to claim basically contradicts everything you've defended up until this point so thanks for making my decision easy.

I was going to suggest mass claiming as well.

Name: Bardolf
Alignment: Town
Job: Squire
Abilities: None

Spoiler alert: I am sick and tired of vanilla's throwing in the towel early and I reacted justly in Day 1 when I saw something impeding on that. Gory and Zokar however get scum points as Pyro stated, Drixx, if anti-town was most likely listing one of his teammates. Zokar also falls under lynch all liars (pending more information, but he's agreed to a mass claim) and I am not sure how to proceed.

I'd be willing to vote for Moar as well as I am not sure if we are even to believe that. Regardless we need a lynch today and we need to be right in who we are lynching.

This is not an answer to the validity of any claims made up to this point. A claim was made that directly corresponded to role PM format, which is against the rules. However, due to the fact that we posted the exact role PM format as a flip (twice) in the main gaime thread, we are not going to punish anyone that has made a claim up to this point, including the format of the role PM.

Future claims obviously have no need to NOT include PM format, as it has already been made public. In other words, if you choose to claim, it's okay to use this format, as it has already been posted by the moderators in the main thread:

If you thought I was scummy you would have said so and made a case for my lynch. You didn't. You later said you "voted [Goryani] with no intention of [Goryani] being lynched"

The vote thing is scummy because it's how mafia acts. They want to avoid a lynch. Townies are much more likely to accept being lynched if it exposes scum.

Your behavior this game, in many circumstances, is consistent with how mafia react rather than how town reacts.

I'd also love your definition of rolefishing as well as your definition of scumhunting since I can't tell the difference between your opinion between the two other than, you know, agenda. Scumhunting is an extremely broad category that consists of, but not limited to, actions which are meant to:
identify townies
identify scum
ascertaining truth or lack thereof
achieving an informed vote/lynch decision

Rolefishing is also an extremely broad category. There is good rolefishing and there is bad rolefishing. Which version oft depends on the reason behind the fishing and outcome of the fishing. The purpose of good rolefishing is usually one of the above goals. Bad rolefishing usually benefits mafia more than town.

I think it's odd that no one has brought up the fact that there are apparently 2 killing factions out there. Looks like Gwaihir was poisoned/delay-killed(?) and CG was NK'd on N1. Then 2 more get killed last night, and Zokar sounds like he knows something about it (That's my read on his "ROFL"). On top of that, Drixx fried BPC with extreme prejudice and was then fried himself with extreme prejudice by Moar. I seriously hope that all these people were not Town. I normally freak out over SKs, but at least they sometimes kill mafia too. I suppose there could be 2 mafias, but that's pretty rare isn't it?
How did Gwaihir die? Poison?
That's what it looks like to me. If it was something that was executed during the day, I imagine we would be well aware of it like the BPC/Drixx/Moar debacle. With the lore, there are other jobs that take some time to hit/kill (Archers(Charge) and Dragoons(Jump) like Leo), but Black Mages *do* have a spell called "Poison". Sounds like too good of a "mod-portunity" to miss. :p In general (non-lore) terms, Ninjas are often poisoners too. If it is a BM, we had 2 alive N1 that could have done it, and one left to tell the tale... I guess it still comes down to whether you believe Drixx or Moar. Or neither.

Future claims obviously have no need to NOT include PM format

Ouch for Double Negative .... I presume that means we are allowed to include PM format?

I am Josias a White Mage, my alignment is Town and I have the Ability to Scan other players. I scanned Bad Ash last night and he is indeed a Squire.

Wow...

Anyway, whoever targeted me, all I have to say is "ROFL! " that is all XD!
Excuse me? I've not lied about anything this game. What is it that you think I lied about?
Well, you apparently know something a Vanilla Town Squire isn't suppose to know. You must either be a busdriver that switched yourself with Pyro or Val, or you have a counter-attack ability and one of them attacked you last night. That's why you wanted someone to shoot you. I have a hard time thinking of anything else. Care to enlighten us? In any case, there is a technical term for claiming what you did while having whatever abilities you *do* have: lying.

Townies don't vote to lynch someone for information. That's a scum motivation.
Well, if we don't start lynching for information, we won't have ANY. This struck me as really bizarre, and things are getting even more out of hand and we don't know crap! We have to lynch someone. Today.

I wasn't around for the last couple hours before day close, but I didn't have any strong inclinations yesterday, so I didn't bother voting (didn't look like it would have mattered anyway). If I was around after reading that, I would have voted for you. I still might.

I think today is mass claim day. I'd do so, but I've vowed not to claim at all this game, so I'm not going to. If I were, this is when I'd do it.
So... you want the rest of us to claim while you stay anonymous. Great.
