Final Fantasy Forum Mafia Game Thread

I am a doc. I have been withholding my claim in the hopes of a watcher or tracker coming forward - unless cdm was an SK, we still haven't gotten an explanation of the lack of second NKs. Now with two nights in a row with only one, I'm more inclined to believe that cdm was the SK (or that there hasn't even been an SK), than that I have blocked two kills in a row. Targets:

N1: Pyrotechnician
N2: cdm
N3: coju
N4: not gonna revel that today.

Would you prefer that I lied? Do you believe in lynch all liars? Please explain why yes or why no.
More on the 'no' side of the answer. It ultimately depends on the situation. Many times as a VT i've wanted to claim Doc to get nk'd. Would me lying in this situation hurt the town? Possibly, if someone rolecopped me and saw I was lying. But, didn't we -being players in general- have a discussion about players claiming vt as a cop-out? I don't remember a generalized conclusion to that.
This game is built around lies; you just hope you don't get caught in one.

How about you, same question.

Think about this, d2 mass claim like today. Heat on all that don't claim. Our OP town doctor doesn't claim. We start to lynch on him. He claims. Dead next day since he used his n1 on himself. There are 100 different ways that would go about iRL, but.

Why would you assume that I am able to target people?

Because our chemist didn't claim doc, and our other white mage claimed Scan, so in the FF universe another white mage would be a doc. I wanted to see if what you said made sense within the context of the flavor. I was hoping you would just share your targets rather than the specifics of your ability, in case the scum hadn't figured that out yet.

Why would you push me to claim if you were already convinced that I was a doc? Why did you want my targets?

To see if it made sense. I don't know if I trust your white mage narrative, given that the person who could have verified died that night, when in fact he actually wasn't a large threat to scum other than his ability to catch people in lies. Very convenient death.

He was the only person that could verify any of us. And killing the only claimed investigative role, that was also one of the most active players seems like a pretty solid scum move regardless.

And to see if what made sense? You think coming up with three fake doc targets would be hard for scum? Do my claimed targets make sense to you?

What your doing seems more like role fishing than anything else to me.

Ok, you have given me something to go on which is better than nothing and I want to get things moving.

He seems to me to be trying to confuse the town by over-relying on Final Fantasy lore instead of gameplay. The lore is incidental, in my opinion, especially since the hosts have said the game won't be role heavy.
Really? That argument is like so 2 days ago. I haven't been talking much about the lore the last couple days because it's been mostly covered. This all seems pretty random from people who've just been sitting back while the rest of us actually try to contribute. What's the rule? Votes #2-#3 are the scum?

I guess it's too late now for anything else to happen, no point in even voting. Congrats mafia, we suck. At least my power is used up.
